INTO THE DOORWAYS

Join us for our first Shadow Rising episode with Mat! In Chapter 2 Mat gets attacked by playing cards in our first instance of a bubble of evil. Lajara rants about his war criminal boyz in the Band of the Red Hand. In Chapter 13, Mat mopes in a tavern and realizes he can't leave even if he wants to. Lajara educates a bit about trauma.

Join us as we finish The Dragon Reborn from Mat's point of view! Mat rescues the women from the Stone and thinks this is all over! Honey, you've got a big storm comin'.

Aftershow begins at 28:03 where we discuss at length Egwene, Elayne, and Nynaeve's treatment of Mat and our final end-of-book showdown with Ba'alzamon.

Our penultimate Mat TDR episode in which Thom goes to the Wise Woman and Mat blasts his way into the Stone!

Aftershow: I ramble a lot about Robin Hobb and the concept of the 'butterfly effect' without remembering the term.

This is not a prank, but discussing Mat on April Fool's Day is pretty appropriate. Weigh in on the controversies! Are Dark Ta'veren a thing? If so, who are they? Why is Mat's rogues gallery so lackluster and forgettable? Just which events are regular occurrences and which are ta'veren tugging? Join us to get our view! @ me on Twitter to discuss!

Mat plays with fireworks and gets a blast from the past with a return trip to Caemlyn, where he discovers dangerous secrets--and some about how his ta'veren luck functions!
