Join me, Alison Elizabeth as we read out of James 1:20 which says "because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires."
"Anger is an emotion I don’t feel quite too often, but when I do it normally manifests in the form of tears.
I am the kind of person that cries when I get really overwhelmed and angry. It’s my defense mechanism. I hide behind my tears.
Although I think the feeling of anger, and sadness are natural emotions and important for us to feel as it reminds us that we are human. The act of sinning in our anger is what does not produce righteousness that God desires from us.
We have to be very careful not to let our words and actions move us from God’s desires from us.
So the next time you get into a tiff, or if anything at work upsets you today, remember that the emotion is a natural human emotion, but God gave us the power of self control and it’s up to us to stay in a state of righteousness."
