The College Football Playoff will have a different look in 2026, but it's still up in the air what that new format might look like.
The Big Ten and SEC are pushing a format where they would each get four guaranteed spots, the Big 12 and ACC would get two each, the non-power leagues would get one, and three spots would be set aside for an at-large team.
Other leagues seem to favor five conference champions getting a guaranteed spot, with the other 11 spots going to at-large teams.
