For the 47th episode of the Healthcare IT Podcast, we’re talking about the various phases of EHR (or EMR if you prefer).  In a recent article by Colin Hung, he identified 4 phases of EMR.  As we look at the current EMR and EHR market, we see healthcare organizations across nearly all 4 phases.  However, we’re also seeing a maturity to the EMR market that we hadn’t really seen previously.

In this episode we dive into all 4 EMR phases.  We discuss what we see happening in each phase and we talk about which EMR phase we think most healthcare organizations are at today.  Plus, we give a preview of what the next EMR phase is going to be.
