  • 21 Questions - 31 Phil Ellis
For no other reason than I'm not asleep, here's a surprise edition of my old 21 Questions podcast with TV (Well, mosty radio) funnyman Phil Ellis.
Don't remember much about it, might be good, might be shit.

  • Which is the Best - Episode 141
Returning after a barely earned hiatus. Which is the Best podcast returns for what we've decided is the third series (That's series, not season) of the podcast where Lee Kyle (The Pontious Pilate for the Etch-a-Sketch generation) and Sammy Dobson (The Ms Dynamite of talking shite) decide which is the best between things of the same or similar names.
Not missed a beat mate. Within minutes Lee is telling Sammy something that he's pretty sure should never come out in public. Then Sammy reveals what is possibly the best (Worst?) idea in the world that could make her a billionaire (A laughing stock?)
    In between, they decide between:
Influenza (Like a cold but actual flu, so not like a cold)
    and
Influencer (Honestly, very little idea what this is)
If are in bits of Scotland that are near any of these places, see Lee's 'Kicking Potatoes Into The Sea' show in:
EDINBURGH (Stand Comedy Club) 4th June
    AYR (Camerons) 5th June
    HAMILTON (Junkyard) 6th June
Then, Newcastle people, see the same show (For the final time, with Sammy in support) at The Stand on 17th June.

  • Which Is The Best - Episode 140.MP3
Well blow me tight if it isn't episode 140 of Which is the Best podcast!
For the first time since October (Or maybe November?) Lee Kyle (The enfant terrible of the playwriting scene) and Sammy Dobson (A woman who I'm way too jetlagged to think of a good nickname for) have managed to get off their arses and record a podcast together. While sitting on their arses.
What this is though, is a deep delve into the actual reasons why this is the first podcast they've done together for so long,
    Featuring:
    Celery
    Pantomime
    Partly cooked egg
    Hospitals
    Unwashable fake hand vendettas
    Houses
    Loads of other shit.
My (Lee) laptop is very much on its last legs so I've not been able to edit it, it also means that there are none of the usual theme tunes and stings but, bloody hell man, I've been on planes for a day and a half, give me a break mate.

  • The Oxbridge Entrance Exam - Episode 1 with Julie Grady-Thomas
    Well good day.
This is my new podcast. I found a book in the lovely Curlew's bookshop in Barnard Castle, County Durham last week. It contained questions that they may ask you should you wish to go to Oxford or Cambridge.
It seems like it might be a sensible book. It isn't. The questions are mostly ridiculous in a 'Try and stress out a 17 year old just doing their best to get into Uni' way.
So, I thought I'd use my great acting to inhabit the character of Dr Mr Lee Kyle, Emeritus Professor of Hard Maths at Oxbridge University (He's married to Marjorie, the marraige is on the rocks, he drinks too much cognac), to interview a guest to see if they will be granted access to those hallowed halls.
This week: AN AMERICAN! I know right. Let us see if Bostonian comedian and writer Julie Grady-Thomas can transfer her degree in communications or some such shit to an actual proper qualification in a proper British University.

  • 2 Becomes 1 - Episode 1
    2 Becomes 1 - Episode 1
Over the next few weeks, I'm (Lee) going to be posting a few things that aren't 'Which is the Best' on this feed, I have the first episode of a new podcast that I'm hoping to get out tomorrow that I think could go somewhere quite unusual!
First though, is a podcast that I put out on a now non existant feed in July that I'm planning to bring back soon, perhaps with a different format.
It's '2 Becomes 1' where myself and a panel decide whether a song that got to number 2 in the charts should have beaten the song that kept it off the top to the coveted number one spot.
Alright by Supergrass vs Boom Boom Boom by the Outhere Brothers
The panel was the rapper and comic Jack Johnson, Musician and reviewer Ben Lowes Smith and some lass called Sammy Dobson.

  • Which is the Best - Episode 139
For the first time in ages, it's the podcast that real life has got in the way of, it's episode 139 of your 11th favourite podcast, Which Is The Best?
Except, it only sort of is. Sammy Dobson is snowed under with various things, so it's just Lee Kyle answering some listener questions.
We'll be back properly as soon as we can...

It's the heavy edit that is episode 138 of Which is the Best podcast where comedians Lee Kyle (The Ric Flair of comperes) and Sammy Dobson (Goes on way more succesful podcasts and forgoets to plug this one) meet and decide between things with the same or similar names.
    This week:
Fred Astaire (Twinkle toed danceman about whom they know very little)
    and

  • Which is the Best - Episode 137
Episode 137 of WITB (In a way)
Hard pushed to say this is an episode of Which is the Best really, or that it's a comedy podcast...
It's just me (Lee) miles away from home having one of the worst days in the world and needing someone to talk to even if it is only recording equipment.
Since this was recorded, I also lost my wallet.

  • Which is the Best - Episode 136 Mimfest 3
Which is the Best podcast present:
    MIMFEST 3!
Every year, your esteemed hosts (Lee Kyle and Sammy Dobson) visit am imaginary music festival and compare the bands that are on with things that sound like them.
Look, I'm aware that that sounds nonsensical but it still happens.
This year, they brave the terrible toilets and jester hat wearing cider pricks and decide between:
Meatloaf and meatloaf (Semi edible American staple)
Kylie and Kyle Lee (Lee, backwards)
Kinks and kinks (Dirty sex niches)
    Slade and Slade (Fictional prison)
Genesis and Genesis (Let there be some light)
Garbage and garbage (Rubbish but in America)
Spice Girls or Space Ghetto (Said in an American accent so it sounds like Spice Girls in Scottish)
Talking Heads and Talking Heads (Retrospectively creepy monologues)
    5ive and 5 (It's a number)
Madonna and Madonna (Suspicious virgin birth claimant)
Prince or prince (The son of a a king and his 2nd couisn)
136 episodes of this bollocks now.

  • Which is the Best - Episode 135
Welcome to episode 135 of Which is the Best, the only podcast on the market that is guaranteed 100% paedophile free.
Every week, from then until it stops happening, Lee Kyle and Sammy Dobson meet and decide which is the best between things of the same or similar names. It's a thankless task that they don't enjoy but who else is going to do it? You? Fucking doubt it mate.
    This week:
Ouvre: A Frennch word meaning whatever it is it means
    and
Hoover: A hoover. You know what a hoover is for fucks sake.
    I'm tired.
