Gemma starts things off with some informative information that Holly screws up before Gemma covers the story of William Immon. Holly then takes things super close to home on a street where she spent some time as a child….and the murder of Vesna Soos.

Shout out to friend-fan Diane who was not bullied into listening but was tortured with a photo of Holly.

Holly rolls out of a trash heap called home improvements and Gemma gives her great criminal advice to use her sanded off fingerprints for, the girls clarify they are a murder podcast for everyone who got confused, names continue to be butchered and Gemma does not think you should own a lion.

Production, recording and post production completed by Producer Craig who has given up on the girls ever learning how to pronounce names and is just grateful they are toilet trained.

Gemma mostly edited this week. All complaints should be sent to Producer Craig who has filled a bucket with his tears of frustration and will sell you a vial on Ebay.

  • S3 EPISODE 1: Murdering the Parents
    Welcome to Season 3!

In the Season 3 premiere - Episode 1 - Holly and Gemma talk about people who wanted their parents dead…not to be confused with Patricide…which is not to be confused with Pesticide. It’s a bit of a rabbit hole. Holly kicks things off with the story of Patricia (Patty) Columbo who had worse taste in men than Holly. Which is saying a lot. Then Gemma heads over to Canada to talk about Jennifer Pan who had super pushy parents up until the point she had them assassinated.

Gemma covers off some amazing fan shout-outs (thanks guys!) and Holly has a special treat at the end of the Episode as a bonus – the Creepy Teen.

Holly declares she is ok but then quickly corrects herself and declares all the things are terrible, Gemma is forced to use her bleep button pretty much immediately in an episode that was supposed to be less sweary, Math makes a totally dick appearance and ruins one of the stories and the girls give excellent parenting guidance.

Production, recording and post production completed by Producer Craig who is getting yelled at a lot by Gemma for setting tablecloths on fire or something.

Gemma mostly edited this week. All complaints should be sent to Producer Craig who can’t hear you over his ear plugs or the sound of his table-cloth ruining blowtorch.

  • S2 EPISODE 52 : Killers with Shrines
In Episode 52, Season 2, Gemma and Holly celebrate the end of their second season and the beginning of Season 3 and their 2 year anniversary, which they then realise are all essentially the same thing. Gemma covers Russian serial killer Alexander Pichushkin, who loved a game of chess and pushing people. Holly covers earthquake preventer Herbert Mullin, who somehow couldn’t convince people of his legitimate mental illness.

The girls struggle with time zones this week, there is an illegal block party/murder cover up happening near Holly’s house and Gemma encourages more people to order baked goods. Gemma nearly stages a revolt against the topic of this weeks episode, Murderers who kept Shrines.

Gemma mostly edited this week, and nearly broke the computer and Craig’s will through sheer bad luck. However, she did save the day and the episode file. Any complaints, as always, should be sent to Producer Craig. He can’t believe we now also have a carpet podcast.

Production, recording and post-production completed by Producer Craig who has lost a lot of his hair recently. Not through stress, but because of an expertly executed quarantine haircut, courtesy of a very amateur hairdresser.

  • S2 EPISODE 51: Deathbed Murder Confessions
In the Season 2 penultimate Episode - 51 - Holly and Gemma talk about Deathbed Murder Confessions from their lonely & ‘not coping well’ corners of the city. First Holly goes over the murder case of Christine Kett before Gemma launches into the horrific murder of Joan Harrison in 1975.

In this episode Gemma struggles to make words escape her brain, Holly revisits her hatred for time travel when discussing a collaboration with the Fair City Podcast and a line is crossed with some definite advice on how to kill correctly with an ax. Side note: please do not kill people with axes.

There was yet another shout-out for Superfan Mel because the girls are obsessed with her (and Holly proudly bullied her into listening to podcasts), a promo for a podcast called ‘The Troubles’ which you should definitely go listen to and general despair over the number of plants Holly is dealing with now during the apocalypse.

Production, recording and post production completed by Producer Craig who let Gemma cut his hair with surprisingly awesome results.

Gemma mostly edited this week. All complaints should be sent to Producer Craig who no longer looks homeless but is willing to grow it all out again for a fee.

  • S2 EPISODE 50: PART TWO - Televised Trials
In Episode 50 Season 2 Gemma and Holly take another two-parter to cover Televised Trials. In Part One Gemma goes over the worst brother duo in the Menendez case and in Part Two Holly takes a dive into the cannibalistic world of Jeffrey Dahmer. Both cases very famously had televised trials.

In this episode we learn how Holly is now a vegetable farmer, Gemma is helping to support her local community during the pandemic by ordering baked goods. Holly also decides she wants her own damn trial, Gemma makes it clear she doesn’t want to have roadkill gifts from children and Producer Craig experiences organ melting when he can’t stop Holly from touching wires and microphones due to social distancing.

Production, recording and post production completed by Producer Craig who has put out an ad for a remote slapping assistant to help control Holly’s equipment mishandling.

Gemma mostly edited this week. All complaints should be sent to Producer Craig who will be happy to pay you in butterfly stickers and selfies of his big toe to slap Holly on a regular basis.

  • S2 EPISODE 49: Early Warning Signs
In Episode 49 Season 2 Holly and Gemma are looking for some ideas to keep Holly from becoming a very well researched murderer….and are also covering Murderers who had Early Warning Signs. Holly covers the story of Carroll Edward Cole who came from a family of androgynous namers. Gemma then goes into the case of David Berkowitz who had some interesting ‘head’ friends.

There is a shout-out for Superfan Mel, some updates on how the girls have been affected by the pandemic (hint you should mail Holly vegetable seeds – it may stop her from murdering), Holly confuses buildings with sexual partners, Gemma regresses into a 4-year-old and it was also her birthday on Monday so you should totally give her a 5-star review on iTunes as a present.

Production, recording and post production completed by Producer Craig who is concerned about Gemma’s preschooler status and has thus far refused all Holly’s demands for mail order treats. Bad Producer.

Gemma mostly edited this week. All complaints should be sent to Producer Craig who has now put up an alphabet wall chart for the home schooling sessions.

  • S2 EPISODE 48: 100th EPISODE! Worst Murders From Season 1
In Episode 48 Season 2 – OUR 100TH EPISODE OVERALL – Gemma and Holly are recording far away from each other due to the dumbest virus ever but are super excited to be covering their personal choices for WORST MURDERS FROM SEASON ONE. Gemma heads back to Episode 14, Season 1 (Matricide) for clips from the story of Ed Kemper. Then Holly springs back to Episode 31, Season 1 (Cannibals) to discuss Armin Meiwes.

There are some fan shout-outs to some wonderful people, time travel for one birthday girl, relocation plans for all of us, the clothing choices we are all making in lockdown, in a weird time travel witch thing Holly mentions Gemma’s choice for this episode a year before the choice is made and then an ultimate debate takes place.

Production, recording and post production completed by Producer Craig who has become very bossy now that he has a mute button for Holly.

Gemma mostly edited this week. All complaints should be sent to Producer Craig who is currently having a mute button tattoed onto his forehead.

  • S2 EPISODE 47: Secrets and Murder
In Episode 47 Season 2, Holly and Gemma (still pre-lockdown) cover the intriguing topic of Secrets and Murder. Holly talks through fellow Canadian Brett Ryan (aka the ‘Crossbow Killer’) who was a complicated mix of good guy and murderer. Gemma then covers Mark Hacking who did the unimaginable to his closest connection.

Holly struggles to describe this episode’s topic then yells at Gemma, Gemma is obsessed with a series about death and lying – Producer Craig has concerns, the girls point out the no-snot rule and the girls say ‘so’ an annoyingly huge amount.

Production, recording and post production completed by Producer Craig who has been reconsidering his use of the word ‘talent’ when referring to the girls.

Gemma mostly edited this week. All complaints should be sent to Producer Craig who has been told the talent are in fact definitely talented.

  • S2 EPISODE 46: 1920's Murders
In Episode 46 Season 2, Gemma and Holly still have no idea life is about to get much more complicated with a virus and are cheerfully recording face to face to cover 1920's Murders. Gemma starts off with the messed up story of Gordon Stewart Northcott - who unfortunately was Canadian. Holly then chats through the spooky Hex House Murder which was a bit awkward.

In this episode Producer Craig thinks the 1920's were good years. He is wrong. There is a lot of 'perking' going on this episode, naming is a 'thing' in the 20's and family dysfunction levels run extremely high thanks to Gemma's choice in murderer. Holly also gives a very insightful geography lesson with some legal recommendations thrown in from both girls for good measure.

Production, recording and post production completed by Producer Craig who is working on his time travelling skills so he can be an accurate source of knowledge for the girls.

Gemma mostly edited this week. All complaints should be sent to Producer Craig who is bidding on Delorean cars as we speak.
