Part podcast. Part comedy show. Part gameshow. You get it all when Whiskey Business presents The Premise recorded live on The Upfront Stage at Shadowbox Live in Columbus, Ohio. The Premise made its grand return on 1/16 and will be back on the third Thursday of the month through July.

Two comedians are handed a “premise” they haven’t seen or heard until that night. Then they have 20 minutes to write 3-5 minutes of standup which they then perform in front of a live audience. Comedian Nickey Winkelman, a Shadowbox regular and one of the hosts of Quiz Box, returned to try and notch a win. She went up against Jeff Gage, one of Columbus’ best comedic improvisers and teachers of the craft. The results were a no-lose situation for the audience. Guest comic, Kenny Mock rocked the house and sat down for a one on one with host, Dino Tripodis. Kenny Mock is one of the hosts of the podcast Comedians on South High, a touring comedian and a regular performer on Norwegian Cruise Lines. An amazing night of comedy, conversations and unpredictable craziness awaits you. The Premise is back!

Whiskey Business welcomes back Arch Madness from the podcast Vinyl Analysis to talk about his 5 part series "Pantera. Dimebag. The Alrosa Villa. A Fan's Journey." His series revisits the mass shooting at the classic rock venue, The Alrosa Villa which took the life Darrell “Dimebag” Abbot and others. 12/8/19 marked the 15th anniversary of the tragedy. This episode isn’t all about that tragedy as Dino and the gang go down some other rabbit holes as well, including: Santa Claus, teen masturbation (no, they’re not related) all while sharing a bottle of Early Times Bottled in Bond bourbon. An appropriate bottle as we discuss good times and bad times on this week’s Whiskey Business.

Dino and the Whiskey Business crew went on location to Columbus’ own WATERSHED DISTILLERY. They spoke with owner Greg Lehman on how the whole business got started, his history with pigs and his time spent playing professional sports. Yes. Quite possibly one of the sweetest pro sports gigs ever. Greg was also an exceptional host as he brought out the entire line of Watershed products for us to sample making our time in the Barrel Room a place we did not want to leave. Check this great podcast out and be thankful it’s in our own backyard!

Fitz Bailey, Brand Ambassador for Cooper's Craft, joins Dino and the guys to talk whiskey, family, and the oddest cocktail he's ever made. Fitz also gives the "day drinking sots" a whiskey education while they sample the 100 and 82.2 proof Cooper's Craft. Another great night of The Premise (our podcast/game show) took place on the Upfront Stage at Shadowbox Live in Columbus, Ohio. Host, Dino Tripodis did his “thing” but the night belonged to the ladies as Sarah Storer and Sara Greer brought their best to the competition portion of the show. November is Men’s Health Awareness Month, a month focusing on men’s prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men’s mental health issues. This week on Whiskey Business, Dino and his crew talked with a recent survivor and a current fighter. Dan Skinner, a professor at Ohio University is a survivor of testicular cancer. Russ Hubbard is currently battling Stage 4 prostate cancer. Both men had unique perspectives as to where they are and where they are going in their personal battles, both emotionally and physically speaking. As is the case, on Whiskey Business we discussed it all over a good pour of Old Scout 107 American Whiskey. While Russ wanted to partake, he could not as he had just gone through another round of chemotherapy that same afternoon. Both men were open and honest and quite frank about their battles. And yes, their was humor as it always seems to be a medicine we need no matter what the illness. It’s a special episode and one that everyone can relate to as sadly we all know someone who is fighting or maybe have lost someone in the battle. Please join us in sharing the awareness and in the process learn something about the human spirit.
