Just a brief update on some garbage audio to let you know where I've been for two years, and to express my desire to get back into it.

Jasper is an engineer with the Federal Bridge Corporation, and a father of two. We went to high school together. I was intensely curious about his involvement with the Green Party of Canada, as well as his beekeeping. He also does other cool stuff too. Give it a listen!

I've known Sam since grad school days over a decade ago. He is a systems librarian at the University of Alberta, while also completing his PhD in political economy at the University of Birmingham. We talked politics, academia, and a bit of musicology.

Wes Modes - Artist, Historian, Educator. Captain of the Shantyboat Dotty. I wanted him on as a guest because I saw a sick youtube video all about riding shantyboats and learning about the history of river people in the United States. When he agreed to come on my podcast I was floored!

We talked river people and shanty boats, but spent a bunch of time talking gentrification, race, train hopping, higher education...this was a truly special chat and I hope that you enjoyed it.
