This week, the boys are headed back to the year 2004. A year where an up and coming actor/director tricked tons of college students into thinking he was deep and talented. That’s right, we’re talking about Zach Braff and his movie Garden State. There’s no hiding it on this episode, Andy and Gabe both think this movie sucks. Listen in and see how the disgusting Zach Braff tries to turn mental illness into a quirky character trait and perpetuates the stereotype of the manic pixie female. This movie sucks and it’s about time we admit it!

This week the boys are joined by their friend Jose Flores as he dives into the childhood trauma brought on by the movie Colors. Listen in as he tells the story of how his own mother would never look at her little boy the same way ever again… thanks Sean Penn! In this 1988 crime drama, we’re introduced to two cops, Robert Duvall and Sean Penn, on the gang unit who are trying to protect the mean streets of all of Los Angeles. Honestly… it doesn’t make sense how they’re assigned to ALL of Los Angeles. Gangs, violences, sex, and drugs are the main focus of this movie, but the boys discover a deeper lesson from this movie. A lesson about inclusion and acceptance from the worst gang on the streets.

What happens when you really look at, what many people consider to be one of the best films ever made, Citizen Kane? Easy, you begin to realize that it’s just no good. The boys at Who Let You Watch That, are back with another hard hitting episode of Does This Movie Suck?! Our best friend, Joss Whedon was such an amazing guest a few weeks ago and Andy and Gabe had blast talking with him. Unfortunately, Joss spent a good chunk of time talking about one of his favorite topics, popcorn. He spent so much time talking about it that we left a lot of material on the cutting room floor. This week the boys examine the 2014 Jon Favreau directed movie Chef. In this Brad Bird produced movie, we’re introduced to Bradley Cooper, a chef that is popping pills like there’s no tomorrow all because he has to hide an insane secret… A RAT IS REALLY THE MASTER CHEF!!! This movie is wild and has so many, if not too many, twists. The boys are going to break it down and decide if this movie sucks. By the end, we have a feeling you’ll definitely be saying “yes chef”.

Los Angeles, the home of the best public transportation system in the world, is a city where toons and humans coexist. At least that’s how we remember 1947 LA! This week we examine the live-action/animated comedy mystery film directed by Robert Zemeckis, the king of American Cinema, Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Our special guest, musician/actor/critic, Adam Ribota is here to share his experience watching this “kids” movie in his youth. And why shouldn’t we consider it a kids movie? It’s got everything kids love: smoking, drinking, and murder! Let’s have Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins) teach us the ups and downs of day drinking. Get ready for Judge Doom (Christopher Lloyd) to give you nightmares for the rest of your life. Don’t keep your eyes closed for too long, because Jessica Rabbit (Kathleen Turner) is here to confuse your sexual development! Like we said, this is a kids movie.

Hope you’re ready for another hot take from your boys! This week we tackle one of the most beloved movies of the 1980s, Top Gun! Tom Cruise stars in this movie that Andy suggests isn’t as cool as you remember. In a movie about jets and shirtless volleyball, we’re gonna spend a lot of time dedicated to school and learning. And as we all know, school is lame! So, jump on your fastest motorcycle, throw on your sickest leather jacket and get ready to answer the question, does Top Gun suck?

The boys have a very special episode this week. In honor and in memory of Andy’s younger brother, Raymond Diaz, the boys are talking about the 1997 Paul Verhoeven sci-fi masterpiece, Starship Troopers. Get ready for how the movie about bugs, violence, and totalitarianism changed the trajectory of Raymond’s life. While a serious episode, the boys honor Ray in the right way, by having fun and talking about one of his favorite movies. A movie where Casper Van Dien (Johnny Rico), Denise Richards (Carmen Ibanez), and Dina Meyer (Dizzy Flores) play teenagers somehow and Jake Busey (Ace Levy) plays multiple fiddles. Don’t let Neil Patrick Harris in a Nazi Unifrom distract you from the fact that this movie is awesome.
