Who We Become episodes

  • The truth about being stuck

Hey beautiful, in this episode I share why and how this podcast has come to existence.

If you have ever been stuck at any point in your life, you know what it's like to make decisions that are better but not always the easiest.

I'd like to remind you that no matter what it is you're facing or feeling, big or small, you have the power of choice. You are more than capable of making the next move that feels right for you, even if you have to change course again, you'll know it will all work out because you've learned how to trust yourself and stand true to you.

None of us are perfect and it's our duty to admit when we haven't been the woman we know we can be.

As a woman who has been through many adventures, exciting ups and scary downs, I can tell you that I always find myself turning within and above to find my answers. It isn't wasy to figure out, and that's what I'm here for.

Join me as I share personal experiences, interview other women (and some men) who have become their truest selves, and remind you to trust yourself.

If you enjoyed this episode, leave a review and share this with someone you know will appreciate it, and send me a message to talk about your takeaways, favorite parts or tell me what you'd like to hear more of! I'm on Instagram @whowebecomepodcast and my email is [email protected], I'd love to hear from you!

  • If we want change, it's up to us
In this episode I talk about how I used to have some serious FOMO, what happens when priorities are honored, and of course reminding you to take a moment to appreciate a woman in your life because today is International Woman's Day 2024! When we put ourselves first, a small inconvenience no longer feels like a huge crisis. But we have to first make the decision to put ourselves at the TOP of the "things to take care of" list.

  • Adopting a nobody cares attitude | Ep. 16
What's up, world! I'm so glad you're here. This episode is crucial for staying in a goal oriented mindset.
So many times, I've found myself seeking validation from someone on the outside to keep me motivated. But what I forgot was that there have been MANY times that I didn't worry about anyone else giving me approval about staying on MY course and in MY journey. If we want to work toward something or change who we become, it's our OWN job to stay accountable, and NOT FOR ANYONE ELSE... so why should we care so much instead of celebrating ourselves regardless?
In this episode I invite you to adopt the mentality that nobody cares and we should work hard anyway.
Thank you so much for listening! 🙏🏼 I appreciate you and your time. You can reach me through Instagram, Facebook, or Email here: https://linktr.ee/the.andrea.k

  • Three things I did to keep going this week | Ep. 15
This week was truly about leaning in for me and I know we all have times where change is hard, so this episode is for when you're facing change or feeling like you're being pushed out of your comfort zone. For me, it was truly about leaning in and doing the hard stuff so that I'll thank myself later. Remember, when you look back on all the hard days youve survived, it's not about dwelling on the past, it's reminding yourself that you're already capable but have to get over the fact that not everything will come easy. Don't forget to give yourself credit.

  • I used to say THIS WORD way too much | Ep. 14
Sorry, I'm NOT sorry! Girl, it's 2024, and we are DONE with that word. I noticed that over time, I've become less apologetic for my existence and way more comfortable with taking up space. Showing up as yourself is a powerful thing. The world would be so boring if we didn't! Are you saying sorry unnecessarily? If you are, ask yourself: What are you so sorry for? And after you listen to this episode, leave a review!

  • Ep. 13 Every time I stop making excuses I take action
We've all done it... came up with those "really good" excuses to not do or start something. For me, it usually comes down to three things: fear of failure or judgment, being comfortable, or lack of discipline. So when I DO lean into discomfort and embrace the vulnerability process....I'm able to take action, which is super empowering! I hope this episode helps you run out of excuses and turn into an action taking, butt kicking version of you!

  • Ep. 12 Mental Health: Where are you at with it?
Hey gorgeous, I'm just checking... Are you okay? We often talk a lot about the importance of mental health, and I see lots of posts on social media about asking if others are okay. It's not alwaya easy to talk about but how often do we really sit with ourselves, on a deep personal level, and admit when we're not okay? If we're not, are we telling anyone? I'm here to remind you that it's okay to not be okay, and there are people who care about you and your mental health. If you're struggling, it's okay to talk about it.

  • Ep. 11 No one told me this when I ended my marriage
After years of being mentally, verbally, and emotionally abused, I decided to do something about it. I felt ready to go through the hardest steps to leave, and I was so looking forward to being happy again... but before having peace again, I had to go through grief, loneliness, and anger. This was the part I wished I was "warned" about to know what to expect. I want to share this part of me because we often go through at least one thing in our lifetime where we are so hurt and think that it won't get better.
