Random Who - The Crimson Horror

As decided by the randomiser, this episode Phil and Scott look at The Crimson Horror, starring Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman. Set in Victorian Yorkshire, the insane Mrs. Gillyflower, played by Dame Diana Rigg, is aided by a prehistoric leech to create a new Eden. Originally concieved as a set up for a Paternoster Gang spin off show, the idea quickly evaporates into the Doctor and Clara saving the day, so do Phil and Scott thinks this works as a story?

And in the news, Big Finish announces a new series of Eighth Doctor adventures featuring two new companions and in Omega's Tat Corner, some expensive tat!

Review - Jubilee

Phil and Paul finally finish off their Sixth Doctor month a few weeks later than planned with Jubilee from Big Finish. This highly regarded story sees the Doctor and Evelyn Smythe caught in a temporal paradox in an alternate England, which sees an English Empire, a mysterious prisoner in the Tower and of course, a Dalek.

We also get Paul's take on the recent announcement of the recovery of two missing episodes of The Daleks Masterplan.

Who's On The Page? - Interstitial Insecurity

To continue with our Sixth Doctor Month, Scott and Phil selected a short story written by Colin Baker, Interstitial Insecurity, set during the Trial of a Time Lord season. Written for the Doctor Who Storybook, released in 2019, this story finds old Sixy gathering evidence for his defence in the Matrix while gathering his wits after witnessing the death of Peri. At eighteen pages long, did Phil and Scott think this shortest of short stories added anything to this troubled season of Doctor Who?

And in the news:

• Doctor Who: The Movie gets an updated 4k and blu-ray release in time for the films 30th Anniversary.
