On today's episode of Locked on Wild, we look at the reasons that this year's Wild team has been less exciting to watch than 2021-22! We start by looking at the lack of extra-attacker scores with the goalie pulled. The Wild used "Empty Net Magic" to their advantage last year to create late game excitement. This year they have not been able to come from behind when trailing at the same rate. We also discuss Kirill Kaprizov's pursuit of numerous records while the team achieved several themselves. With those records not in danger this year, that has led to the loss of the excitement that brought. And we finish by looking at the team in general. Last year the Wild dominated for the entire season, went "all in" at the Trade Deadline, and that is all exciting too! This year, we haven't hit the deadline yet but the Wild have been up and down so far in 2022-23.
