Reason #18 everyone is staring at us: We are still stuck in the 80s, and we're back with another 80s Rewind episode. Today we talk about the fancy dancey flick, Footloose. From the dancing feet in the opening sequence, to dancing it out in the flour plant, screaming in front of trains, tractor fights, boom boxes and the 80s prom at the end, we're still diggin it.

Reason number 17 everyone is starring at us: We are random AF, and this episode proves it!
We start with shower thoughts or thoughts that wake us up randomly in the middle of the night, and then we talk about random purchases we've made when inebriated, or when insomnia hits, and then we talk about how we sometimes make ourselves feel better by having pep talks with ourselves in the mirror (among several other things.)

Reason #16 everyone is staring at us: Because we're still reading Sweet Valley High - and we won't stop until we get to the end.

O'Dell has decided that the only way these books make sense is that Elizabeth snapped and went on a killing spree a la an 80s slasher flick, and now she is in an asylum, recounting her version of the story that led to the bloodbath. So, from here on out, not only will we cover the plot of the books, we'll also be adding our own special flavor of horror movie psycho weirdness to the stories to make them make a little more sense - or something.

On this episode we cover books 3 (Playing with Fire) and 4 (Power Play). Our biggest take away from these two books is that Francine Pascal obviously had an issue with being overweight.

We start by talking about vacations we took as kids, versus the vacations families take now, and then segue into the pressure of "keeping up with the Jones's", so as not to appear poor, or like you're not giving your kid the perfect life.

This episode starts out as a "Where were you when..." discussion, when Erin asks O'Dell where he was and what he was doing when OJ took off in the white bronco with the police in hot pursuit. Somehow the conversation morphs into a discussion about how awesome we were at roller skating. And since roller skates are involved, O'Dell HAS to talk about one of his favorite movies ever - Xanadu.
