When problems arise, it feels right to let the subject expert decide on what to do about the problem. This is also what happens to you, the safety expert. When safety issues arise, your management team might expect that you, the expert, should decide on what to do. You might even think so yourself. But, becoming the decision maker can hinder the success of your programs.
