From questions of measurement and philosophy to issues of cultural autonomy and demystification, this lecture reveals why attempts to prove magic scientifically may risk stripping it of its meaning, depth, and sacredness. Drawing on anthropology, history, and esotericism, we invite reflection on the value of magic beyond the lens of science.
