When we don't truly understand how much we've been forgiven, because we think we're better than we really are, we will struggle to love. Because we will think we didn't need much forgiveness and mercy, so why would anyone else? Why would we extend such mercy to others when "we didn't need it". Pride is the opposite of love, and as you'll discover in this teaching, pride is very subtle in how it strips us of love for our neighbor.
Luk 7:47 Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.
