Leah is a mum, a wife, a life coach and she understands codependency, because she has lived with it most of her life. Like many of us, her journey into discovering the depths, of her need for others has sometimes been a shock to her own consciousness, sometimes it’s been those conversations to avoid, and sometimes it’s been a reflection of nature itself. I will quote from a post Leah placed on her facebook profile a short time ago.
“When a bird lands, it doesn’t waste time worrying about whether or not the foundation it chose to land on, will hold it. The bird has to trust, that no matter what, it has wings that will work. We need to be more like the bird and have unshakeable faith in ourselves.”
It is true when learning how to fly we must trust the process and it is also true the pivotal role others, often the mother, have in choosing when it is time to give that compassionate push out of the nest. For someone with codependency issues, at what point do the excuses and fear become overwhelmingly interruptive to daily life?
I am sure we will hear more about this topic from Leah as she recounts her own WhyMe moment and story and explains how she now helps others to overcome their neediness and weighty ties placed upon themselves and in turn allow their hearts to fly free in the world.
You can contact Leah on her website or on facebook.
Leah's recommended reading is for the book * by Michael A Singer is The Untethered Soul.

Content Notice: The following episode contains memories of and discussions about sexual abuse and assault. Listener discretion is advised.
Shangrila Rendon of Fesity Fox Coaching and the Feisty Fox Fire podcast.
Shangrila has an interesting story of adversity and self discovery, which includes, a Guinness world record, for the fastest female time, to complete the IUTA world cup quintuple ultra-triathlon.
What makes this achievement even more incredible, is knowing what Shangrila has gone through, to get there. She has experienced ongoing sexual assault from the age of 5 until 19. She lived in an environment, which was lacking in compassion for her personal journey, and led to suicidal ideations throughout her formative years.
At 24 years of age, Shangrila was again, sexually assaulted, and subsequently diagnosed, with PTSD, and severe depression.
In her words, “I hated everyone, including my family. I didn’t care about myself. I was living dead”. Her identity had become wrapped up in the adversities, and yet one day, she dared to ask herself a question – “Who am I really?” We will hear her talk about these “WhyMe” moments and how she has learned, to embrace her journey, and harness the power, of daring to dream big, stepping into the living proof documentary, of declaring to the world, “This is me”.
You can contact Shangrila on her website and Feisty Fox Coaching and check out her Guinness world record here.
Shangrila's recommended reading is for the book * she co-authored called Million Dollar Story: Secrets of 10 Entrepreneurs Who Had to Lose and Pivot to Profit and Win with Purpose .

"All good comes out of those trials that we go through… that is the why. It started out as being something just for me and now it’s just become this mission." Debbie Covalt Lakin
Debbie has witnessed the immediate and ongoing effects for a child and their family after sexual abuse. As a social worker in this specialised area, she holds a deep desire to start and continue these essential conversations, for raising awareness and allowing others the permission to speak of their own experiences. In her book series, For the children - with love, Debbie writes fictional stories about real life situations.
Her main character is inspired from her own social work experiences and she embeds these valuable messages throughout the stories she creates, with her vision of educating everyone, how to better protect the children being abused every day, and it being partly due to the “hush hush” culture, of NOT talking about this issue. You can get a copy of the books Debbie loves and recommends here* on Amazon Are you there God it's me Margaret by Judy Blume, The Shack by William Paul Young
