Ep. 48 | When God Allures Us into the Wilderness
What if the wilderness isn’t only a place we find ourselves, but sometimes a place God lovingly draws us into?
In this solo episode, Sunny takes us into the book of Hosea and a tender picture of God alluring His people into the wilderness to speak tenderly to them.
Sometimes we run to things that never satisfy. We blame. We measure God’s goodness by the circumstances around us. But the wilderness can become the very place where the noise quiets and we encounter the heart of the One who loves us most.
In this episode, we talk about:
Maybe the wilderness isn’t evidence that God has abandoned you. Maybe there is an invitation waiting there.
An invitation to be known. To know Him. To hear Him speak tenderly. And to discover a door of hope in the very place you never wanted to be.

What happens when grief, loss, or sheer weariness collide with the faith you’ve always known?
In this Hope Huddle, we sit down with Becky McCoy, writer, retreat leader, spiritual director, and author of In the Company of the Weary: Ten Gentle Spiritual Practices for Your Tired Soul.
After devastating loss rocked her world, followed by depression, anxiety, and chronic illness, Becky entered a wilderness that began to undo the rigid, rational faith she had known. In that wilderness, she began discovering a more experiential knowing of God and a gentler way of approaching Scripture and spiritual practices.
In this conversation, we explore:
For the woman who is grieving, exhausted, questioning, or simply doesn’t have the energy for faith as usual, this conversation is an invitation to discover that God is still present in the wilderness.

Anger can be uncomfortable—especially for Christian women who may have learned to suppress it, fear it, or even believe that feeling angry is wrong.
But what if anger isn’t the enemy? What if it’s actually trying to tell us something?
In this Hope Huddle, we sit down with Karrie Garcia, speaker, licensed life coach, author, and founder of Freedom Movement, for an honest conversation about anger, shame, triggers, and healing.
In this conversation, we explore:
Anger doesn’t have to run the show—but we don’t have to be afraid of it either.
When we get honest about what’s happening beneath the surface, anger can become an invitation to deeper healing, truth, and freedom.

Today, we're looking back at the women we were at 20—and this conversation got surprisingly emotional.
What would you tell your 20-year-old self if you could sit across from her today? Would you correct her? Warn her? Celebrate her? Or maybe finally offer her the kindness and grace you couldn't give her then?
We're talking honestly about the choices we made, the things we didn't know, the growth we can finally see, and the ways God was present in our stories long before we understood what He was doing.
Because sometimes growth isn't about becoming an entirely different person. Sometimes it's about looking back and realizing that pieces of who God created you to be were there all along.
In this episode, we talk about:
Our hope is that this conversation gives you permission to look back at the woman you used to be with a little more kindness.
Maybe she wasn't as lost as you thought.
Maybe God was already at work.
And maybe, in more ways than you realize, you were already her.

Ep. 44 | Would You Rather - Wild Hope Summer Porch Conversations
Today we’re inviting you onto the porch with a glass of lemonade for a little something different.
As part of our Wild Hope Summer Series, we’re stepping away from our usual conversations and making space for laughter, connection, and the simple joy of connecting hearts around the table.
In this episode, Sunny and Tammy play a little game of “Would You Rather” and discover that what starts as a lighthearted conversation quickly opens the door to memories, stories, opinions, and even a few deeper thoughts about life, faith, and the seasons we’ve walked through.
You’ll laugh with us, maybe find yourself answering along the way, and hopefully be inspired to gather your own people for a summer porch conversation.
We’ve created a Would You Rather conversation starter download just for you! Use these questions with your spouse, friends, family, or even on a road trip. Sometimes the simplest questions lead to the best conversations.
You can find the download in the show notes below and over on our Instagram page.

What if summer wasn't just a season on the calendar?
In this short Hope Huddle On The Go, Sunny explores the idea that our lives move through seasons much like nature does. There are winters marked by loss, springs filled with new beginnings, falls of transition and change, and summers where life feels wide open and full of possibility.
But what if it's possible to experience a little summer even in the middle of winter? What if wild hope can still grow in the wilderness?
In this episode, Sunny shares encouragement for cultivating a Wild Hope Summer no matter what season you find yourself in. Together we'll talk about:
And because this is Sunny we're talking about, there may or may not be a few spontaneous songs along the way.
Whether you're walking through a difficult season or enjoying a beautiful one, this episode is an invitation to look for the goodness of God, embrace the season you're in, and cultivate a life marked by wild hope.

Sometimes we choose the Wilderness. Not necessarily because we love camping- but because we love chasing temporary pleasure. The problem is, it never satisfies, and in fact leaves us hungering, thirsting, and longing for the next “hit” of release.
In this hope huddle with Sunny Cain, she speaks with authenticity, and urgency- reminding us where we can turn when “we just can’t” anymore.
In a walkthrough of Isaiah 30, and a jump over to Ezekiel 34, she highlights the beauty of the God who longs to be gracious to us, even in our denial of him, in our refusal to return to quietness and rest, in our attempts to power through in our own strength with our own solutions. And God Longs to Be Gracious.
Let’s remember the God who waits on High to Be Gracious to Us- and we will see His goodness and mercy have followed us all of our days.
