Donna Durante Miller Is the owner and founder of Durante Rum. This woman is living history by being the only woman in the world to distill and create a rum company. Durante Rum's name pays homage to her late mother's last name and Caribbean Heritage. Miller is also the owner of the New El Roy on h street, along with three other businesses, and a published author. Calling her a serial entrepreneur is an understatement. With a growing reputation, Nicole took her passion and expertise in brow shaping and opened PRMP Brow & Beauty Studio, an award-winning beauty hub specializing in brows and body waxing. Nicole is a mom, wife, Dateline fanatic and coach for other estheticians at various stages of their careers and entrepreneurial journeys. Tarah was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2015, Through her own debilitating experiences with endometriosis, Tarah recognized the need to cultivate a community and safe space for African-American and Afro-Latino women. Too often these women are overlooked and underserved. As an educator, exposes her classrooms to the effects of endo to educate and incite change agents. Tarah aims to raise awareness and break barriers surrounding the stigmatized topic of women’s reproductive health by organizing and initiating community outreach programs and initiatives.

Forté is a pastor with over 20 years in ministries. But most importantly, she is a disruptor who continues to expand the idea of what it means to be a spiritual leader. Pastor challenges the old and limited religious beliefs that suffocate God's magnitude and revamp the image of women in the church. She wants people to throw religion out the window and instead cultivates a very personal relationship between God and you that is not based on limiting and cultural, religious belief. As you can tell, she is not your typical woman in the pulpit, more like a troublemaker.

Meet Kierrah Flipping!  

A Mental Health Specialists whose has been in the field of mental health for over nine years. During her time in the field, she has taken the mental health field by storm by incorporating energy healing modalities into mental health work with clients.

After a short time practicing Reiki, she soon discovered the healing benefits Reiki had with those suffering from mental health issues and quickly incorporated Reiki into the work we do at CORE Empowerment. This soon grew to us incorporating work with crystals, essential oils, yoga, and sound healing. “I have helped MANY clients become “un-stuck,” uncover the root cause of their mental and physical illnesses, and gain balance and clarity in their life.”

Being one of the few mental health practices in the DMV area offering holistic forms of treatment, CORE Empowerment, LLC has grown rapidly. Transitioning from a single practitioner practice to a group practice in under a year.

After countless requests for services, knowledge, and realizing the need for a common source, she created Afro Qi (Podcast, Directory, Events) with a MISSION to ENLIGHTEN black women about energy healing, its various modalities, and how it can help us heal from the trauma, hardships, and negativity experienced in life, CONNECT our people with black women energy healers in their areas, and CREATE a harmonious community of women who desire to learn, experience, and begin energy healing worldwide.

Mr. Mills began his business career at the age of 22 years old after graduating from Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD in 2001 while working as an IT professional at Northrop Grumman. He purchased his first residential investment property 1 month after graduating from college and within the next 18 months was able to acquire 8 additional residential properties including a Multi-family dwelling. Over the next several years, he successfully actively managed all properties, keeping a 100% fully occupancy. While operating the management of his real estate properties he had the need for lawn mowing and snow removal services, so he started a Landscaping business with his childhood friend to service his properties as well as other clients in those neighborhoods. In Oct 2005, he cashed in and sold his residential portfolio holdings. He continued to grow the Real Estate business purchasing his first commercial property in 2006 in Pennsylvania. By 2008, Mr Mills had grown his commercial real estate in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Missouri holdings to 5 properties (over 80,000 square footage in total) comprising of strip/shopping centers, mix-use, office and retail with approximate market value of $5.2 Million. In 2008, Mr. Mills also purchased a retail footwear and apparel store in Hyattsville, MD and a year later purchasing a 2nd retail store location in Cincinnati, OH, both retail locations grossing over $1 Million in annual sales. Throughout the years Mr. Mills continued his buy low/sell high real estate philosophy and expanded his business dealings not only in residential/commercial real estate and retail stores but evolved his business interests. Currently increased his investment interest into venture capital investing in small businesses.
