Wild Scoundrels episodes

  • Wild Bastards Episode 7 - Snails, Seaweed, Social Distancing and Seasonal Stuff.

This week the Wild Bastards find themselves in the same building for once. Tom has been around the Southwest coast filming the beautiful countryside and catching a few fish. We meet a landlord who keeps it local and has the last word in a socially distanced pub gardens and snail breeder who's far from sluggish. Jamie gets a surprise when he's asked to cook snails for the first time in his life and wine expert Howard suggests some wine to go with mackerel, duck and venison. Oh yes, and Tom ate some seaweed.

  • Wild Bastards Episode 6 - Wet Fish Shop, Brazier Coffee, Murder Hornets, Date Nights and Wine Tasting

In our most packed episode to date we meet Dan from the Wet Fish Shop in Lyme Regis, Tom and Ed from Brazier Coffee in Wellington Somerset, we talk about Murder Hornets as investigated by Jon from The Dorset Food Network, Date Night Delights and why they'll get you laid, food in movies, what Jamie has been cooking this week and what Howard from WJB Wines thinks we should drink with it. Phew! If that's not enough we also look at seasonal produce; this week it's lamb and broad beans. Oh yes, and swearing of course.

  • Episode 5 - Chefs we still tolerate, Appalling Apples and Cumin my mouth.

This week the chaps talk about TV chefs that they actually like and there aren't many. Jamie Oliver, Gordon Ramsey and Nigella all get a mention as heroes. Dan tries out a rather bizarre hangover cure suggested by Jamie Oliver. We talk about imported food vs local and how some imports seem to be environmentally and sustainably crazy. Things get a bit heated when Dan suggests that the Romans invented cider! Veg boxes like 'Hello Fresh' also get a grilling on their decidedly unfresh credentials. We find out what veg is in season, what's growing in Jaimie's garden and who's cooking what.

  • Wild Bastards Episode 4 - Loaders Cider, Exmoor Ham and Coriander is a Bastard!

This week dive, quite literally, into the the world of cider. Gamey Jaimie has been out and about meeting Paul and Helen who make Loader's traditional farmhouse cider in a sustainable and non chemical way. It's craft cider at it its best and rather strong too as Jaimie demonstrates ably on the podcast. He also visited Chris from the Exmoor Ham Company who cooks his ham with nettles. Finally Dan and the boys talk about coriander and other things we love or hate. Jaimie talks about his rather torrid holiday in Morocco. Cider is consumed throughout!
