At the height of the cold war in1947 something crashed near the small town of Roswell NM.  The nation had just been officially introduced to the flying saucer phenomena a month earlier and word spread that the strange wreckage recovered by a local rancher in the area was part of one of these flying disks.  The world-famous headline was released and one day later the entire story retracted and thus began what may be one of the first major Govt cover ups of all time.  Since then, there have been many more as a paranoid society embraced social media some of the more far out conspiracy theories began to have an even great audience and take on a new life of their own.  What’s the truth ? What’s the Lie?  From crashed UFOs to Bigfoot killing squads, we begin our first dive into the world of coverups and conspiracy theories on this episode of Wild & Weird Radio.

in 1964 Nikolai Kardashev proposed a hypothetical scale for measuring a civilization's level of technological advancement based on the amount of energy it is able to use.  A type one civilization for example would be able to harness the power of its planet, for humans the advancement of fusion or anti-matter reactors could lead to such a level.  Where a Type 2 could build megastructures that harness the power of their sun and a Type three would be able to literally rule their entire galaxy.  Anything beyond even to present day humanity which by the way rates in a negative on the scale would seem to validate the words of Arthur C Clarke when he stated “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic”.  Join us in this highly speculative episode as we delve into some of the ideas surrounding these hypothetical advanced life forms. We will look for signs of possible past contact and settlements on earth and try to peer into the future of our own species to see how far we might be able to make it on the Kardeshev scale,  on this episode of Wild & Weird Radio.

What is "woo"?  Spend enough time in the bigfoot community and you will hear the term. It's used to describe the paranormal or spooky side of the bigfoot phenomena.  And while it usually pertains to the bigfoot phenomena , we tend to see bleed over into other related fields as well.  Join us as we look at the Woo factor in this episode of Wild & Weird Radio.

Inexplicable knowledge, vivid recurring dreams or nightmares of a time long before you were born? children who tell chilling realistic tales of being somebody else before they came here.  The phenomena of past lives was made popular by sensational books and TV specials and both science and spirituality have struggled with the concept of past lives and life after death in general. Far from just being the product of new age philosophy and spiritual beliefs however the phenomena has been studied with vast amounts of data gathered by real world psychologists. Data which seems to suggest a means of knowledge transfer beyond the physical capabilities of the experiencer, a great majority of which seem to be children from the ages of 2-4.  Are these actual memories from a previous life?  If not, then Where might they originate? Can we possibly tap into previous experiences from other lives? Join us as we look at the past life phenomena and some of the mystery surrounding it in this episode of Wild and Weird Radio.

Previously on Fallen Worlds we looked at the possibility of a massive impact event which could be at the heart of over 1200 flood mythologies around the globe and we examined the real growing evidence set forth that this event seems to have been tied to the so-called Younger Dryas impact event.
The discovery of over 50 impact craters 600 miles across seems to suggest that the earth was bombarded by multiple objects.   Around the world there are tales told of fiery serpents descending from the sky and multiple stories of strange visitors who gave warnings to a select few who were to preserve themselves and their families in caves and on boats and who would be charged to restart the human race after the world had been destroyed.
Why does there seem to be a continuity between these stories from different cultures who could never have had contact with one another?  Were these people warned by others who knew this event was going to occur? And what can we learn from these legends? Emily Uldrich , Museum Educator from the Southern Ohio Museum and cultural center in Portsmouth Ohio joins us in this episode to examine these legends from around the world and closer to home as we try to unravel the story of The Survivors on this episode of Wild & Weird Radio.

Born October 12th, 1875 in Warwickshire, England, Edward Alexander Crowley would become one of the most controversial figures in the world.  At an early age he rejected his family’s strict Christian upbringing and focused more on western esotericism joining a secret society and eventually founding his own religion.  HE attempted some of the most dangerous rituals and eventually was alleged to contact an entity that some today believe was like an alien contact experiences or CE5.  He was deported from countries and hired by others. HE denounced Great Britain and declared himself an Irishman.  During the first World War he came to America and acted as an Irish Spy for the British Government.  He died in 1947 and his beliefs continue to influence mysticism and occult teaching. Join us for a look at some of the mystery surrounding this enigmatic character on this episode of Wild & Weird Radio.

Orbs, ghost lights, spook lights, will o wisps , fairy lights .  What ever they are they have been plaguing photographs and videos since the beginning but the legends of orbs is not limited just to photographic media alone, these wispy balls of light have been seen for as long as humans have kept records.  Some are attributed to ghost activity, usually a tragedy where a wandering soul carries out some ghostly quest for an item that ties them to the physical world.  Other tales say they are condemned souls who must wander the earth forever for their crimes.  And though there are a fair number that can be explained away as dust, backscatter or any number of photographic anomalies, there are those which fall into he UAP category which are being taken very serious now.  What might orbs be?  Could they be related to not only ghost activity but also UFOs and even Bigfoot?  In this episode we are joined by several local investigators who share their data and ideas about what orbs may be and we look at some recent video sent into us from a viewer.  Join us now as we go over our findings on the Mystery of the Orbs in this episode of Wild and Weird Radio.
