Wilde & Tausch

The Rutledge and Hamilton TAKEOVER – Jim Rutledge and Olympic gold medalist Matt Hamilton move from 4-6 pm on 100.5 ESPN Madison to step in place of Jason and Tausch this morning. Jim and Matt re-acquaint themselves, and new producer Primetime Ryan Wollersheim, to the Wilde & Tausch family. Matt congratulates himself for on sacraficing nap time to serve the 9 am - Noon crowd, and judgmental Bears fan Jim rebrands himself as Whimsical Jim. They ask if expectations were too high for the Bucks coming into this season, and Jim takes issue with the wording of Primetime's poll question. The guys also make fun of Primetime for his "underhanded compliments" and Matt's weird saying like "steel sharpens steel." They also introduce one of their usual Friday traditions of listening to Phish music on Friday shows, which leads to some hardline Wisconsin Fish Fry opinions. Jim wraps up Hour 1 by asking another poll question based off a take he heard from Evan Cohen on this morning's Unsportsmanlike – does Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson currently have a higher trade value in the NFL?

Jim Rutledge and Matt Hamilton roll into Hour 2 of the Rutledge and Hamilton takeover. They continue discussing which quarterback's trade value is higher at this point in their careers: Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson? They set aside any contract figures and discuss which quarterback carries less baggage. Jim compliments Jordan Love and the Packers, saying that they've won the Rodgers-Jets trade even if Love never goes on to win a Super Bowl. ESPN.com Packers reporter Rob Demovsky joins the show provide some insight on Jim and Matt's questions, including if the team should add a veteran quarterback, what potential free-agent safeties the team might add, and where the team might go with their picks in the first 3 rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft. Jim and Matt (reluctantly) finish Hour 2 by playing Wilde & Tausch Trivia - Fish Fry edition!

Jim Rutledge and Matt Hamilton wrap up their Phish Friday takeover of Wilde & Tausch, as they get into the usual "After Dark" hour of their show. They play one of the old segments from Scalzo and Brust, as they review the poll results from around the ESPN Wisconsin family of shows during Poll Dancing. Primetime Wollersheim takes the guys through "Whoa Wolly," and he has the guys react to Shaquille O'Neal saying that the Bucks look like they'll get swept in the first round of the NBA playoffs along with Pat McAfee coming out asking Shams Charania if he is indeed dating Kay Adams. Jim and Matt give their feel-good stories of the week to wrap up this Feel Good Friday!
