This week Mattie and Austin decided to have some fun and talk about Cryptids, a subject of questionable scholarly merit that they both enjoy, rather than continue to stare into the abyss of uncertainty and horror that is the election and decided to take our listeners along for the ride.

On this week's episode, we delve into the creepy world of things that may or may not be what they seem.

Is that doll that gives you the creeps actually following you from room to room, waiting for its turn to strike? And if so, is it possessed, haunted, or just some energy looking for something to do? Or are it the uncanny valley and your body's natural fight or flight reflex giving you mixed signals? (Mattie says screw science, they're haunted, but you know how she gets.)

Then, Austin talks about werewolves. And not just the ones you hear about in stories--the ones we definitely should have been taught about in schools because of the werewolf trials that happened alongside the witch ones.

This Week, Austin tells us all about Mansa Musa, the wealthiest man to ever live, and the Mali Empire. He also tries and fails to explain where a very large place is. Meanwhile, Mattie looks into the history of voting rights and who was granted the vote and when. She has some serious questions for every textbook we have ever read. She wants to see them all after school, talk to them about their behavior, and her expectations going forward. (trust us, this is as frightening as it gets.) we also try and fail to comprehend the insane pace of major news and events that have taken up the first 4 days of October.

Quick note, we did have some recording trouble and there are some parts where the mics drop off. We think we've fixed the problem and should be back to normal next week.
