Episode 75 - Independence Day edition
It was just Dustin and Tyler this week as they discussed some stats about teams being down 3-0 in the SCF, both teams, and some recent moves (and possible moves) from Stevie Y.
They were joined by Billy Shields. He goes by “Billy Big League,” and he has a story that will never be repeated about his high school state championship run for 2021. He also give us a little insight on being a rookie in the extremely talented Made in MI hockey league! You definitely don’t want to miss this one.
Lord Stanley will be in MTL tonight! It’ll be bittersweet to have the season end this week at some time, but we have a lot to look forward to with the expansion draft and the entry draft where your Wings will select 6th overall for the 3rd time in 4 years.

Episode 74 (Madison Bowey)
The fellas were joined by Brighton, MI native and current forward for the University of Michigan Wolverines, Luke Morgan. Luke is a hell of a player and has played with some notable names throughout his career (Quinn Hughes and Josh Norris - sound familiar?)
Luke takes us through every stepping stone that led him to donning the maize and blue, which, as a Michigan native, is a dream come true (shut up State fans - it’s the same for you too). *did not mean for any of this to rhyme*
Side note: just this past year, Luke played with three of the players that will likely be drafted in the top 10 in this year’s NHL entry draft (Matt Beniers, Owen Power, and Kent Johnson). Luke has been feeding these guys so many apples it’s a wonder why he hasn’t gotten a look at the big show.
The boys round out with some talk about the finals between the Montreal Canadiens and the Tampa Bay Lightning. This is first appearance by a Canadian team since 2011 and Montreal’s first trip to the final since they won it back in 1993. This would be Tampa’s first time in franchise history playing for a chance at back-to-back Stanley Cups.
Buckle up, folks - the end is near!

Episode 73 (Adam Erne)
WELL WELL WELL. Dustin was right about Vegas as Connor and Tyler’s cup favorites were outed in 6. Have no fear, the boys DO in fact have a back up plan. You’ll have to listen to the picks to find out who they’re picking as their horse to finish this race. It should come to no surprise who Dustin is riding with.
Dustin also had his debut at Made in Michigan - he walks us through watching these highly skilled players as well as getting the chance to interview a few! Stay tuned for some more content to follow with our partners at Made in MI.
Hockey is coming to an end in a few weeks so let’s soak it in! Lord Stanley is coming!

Episode 72 (Andreas Athanasiou)
The boys had on The Godfather of Made in MI Hockey, Nick Schleuter, and the director of training and performance at Legacy Center (off ice partner for Made in MI Hockey), Randy Young. We had an absolute blast talking about the upcoming season for the Made in MI guys as we all (except for Nick) ranked every team from last to first. We even gave out picks for the championship.
This episode is jam packed with information about the league that helps Michigan-born players to the highest levels of hockey. The NHL’s future is on the ice in Brighton this summer, so make sure to get out there and watch!

The boys this week took it easy and broke down their Round 1 selections. Nobody made it out perfect! Round 2 picks were made. Some people picked the Leafs, they of course added to their playoff drought as well as the continue struggle to make it out of the first round. Edmonton was surprised by the Jet's and were out in 4 games, as well as the Avs taking it to the Blues.

Episode 70 (Troy Stecher)
The boys were joined by Michigan-native, 2018 Vegas Golden Knights draft pick, and current forward for the Henderson Silver Knights (AHL), Paul Cotter. As Connor likes to say, we got to ‘peak behind the curtain’ of the life of a pro. Paul described some of the NHL teams he met with before being selected by Vegas - some were REALLY intimidating (Edmonton). Then he walked us through his first pro party with the boys. Did it live up to his expectations? Guess you’ll have to tune in to find out.
Paul is no stranger to throwing on a “knight uniform,” and no I’m not talking armor. Prior to his pro-debut, he played on a STACKED London Knights team in the OHL with Connor McMichael, Liam Foudy, Evan Bouchard, Alec Regula, and Adam Boqvist - to name a few.
He also plays in the Made in Michigan hockey league, where he is the captain of team Elk. Make sure to cheer on Paul and his team as they try to bring home the hardware this summer!

The boys this week had on Daniella Bruce, the Digital Host of the Detroit Red Wings. Daniella provided some great analytics on some of the upcoming players as well as broke down some of current players performances. We also got some much needed information on the mysterious Ken Kal! Little fun fact: both Ken Kal and Daniella are HUGE Lions fans. She talked about the Stafford trade towards the end.

Episode 68
The voice of the Red Wings and our friend, Ken Daniels, joined us for his second interview with the Wing Sauce boys except this time, we were all on video for the first time! After another rough season for the Wings, it was great to hear Ken’s take on everything. I mean, who better to ask than the guy who is watching every single game and detailing it out for us?! We chatted about the current state of the team, the promising future with our prospects, and much more.
Ken even weighed in on the Tom Wilson drama that has captivated the league’s attention. He also answered a few questions from some listeners that called in. We were updated on the Jamie Daniels Foundation and all the progress they’re making to help those who are affected by substance use disorder. Make sure to check out their website for all the info you’ll need.

She also fills us in on the adventures she has been having over in Finland, with a short stint on a team there. She also lets us know about her summer currently.
