Did you know that 76% of executives say they check social media at least once per day? Did you know that of that number 92% say that LinkedIn is the site they go to?
Truthfully, I didn’t until Josh Turner told me on this podcast.
Josh is the founder of Linked Selling, a multiple 7 figure B2B firm specialising in fully outsourced lead generation campaigns and these stats are based on independent research done.
Josh is also the founder of Linked University, an online training program for LinkedIn marketing, which I have just recently joined – and I can tell you it is a fantastic resource!
So, if your business involves selling B2B, then LinkedIn is a must to find more qualified prospects for your business.
In this interview, which is a real gem when it comes to getting tips, Josh shares with us, amongst other things:

What you must do to set yourself up properly to optimise your own profile so that you can be found by your     potential clients
How you can go about in a strategic manner to find your prospects, without sounding sales and spammy
Josh shares his suggestions for a daily routine
What not to do to avoid being seen as a bore
How you can keep track of it all without it becoming overwhelming

Josh also shares information about his new book, Connect, which shows us how “to generate leads, build relationships and dramatically increase your sales.”
And there is a great offer for the launch of this new book, which I heartily recommend you go for! All you have to do is go to www.theconnectbook.com, order the Kindle version of just $4.99, email the receipt to Josh and he will send you the printed copy of the book free – and also enrol you in a free LinkedIn marketing course for free! This course is normally sold for $197.
This is a no brainer! Just go there now to get this amazing offer.
In keeping with my tradition of asking about books and habits, Josh shared with us a book he highly recommends – Ask by Ryan Levesque, which shows you how to find out from your customers how to position your marketing to grow your business.
Josh also shares with us that his daily habits include running and meditating, which he finds so beneficial. Also, interestingly EVERY day the staff in the office play Mario Kart for 30 minutes.
Josh can also be found on:

My thanks to Josh for a great interview – and great tips!

Our relationship with money is complex, and it truly can have a major impact upon our lives.
My guest today, Joan Sotkin, knows this from experience. Joan built a business from zero to over $30,000 per month – but through poor financial management ended up bankrupt.
Joan’s story of her time when she was literally on the street is great. The experience of bankruptcy compelled Joan to study the connection between our emotions and the lives we create for ourselves, including our finances.
Joan’s passion – and her business – is coaching her clients how to implement new ways of being with themselves and their commercial activities.

I wanted to know from an expert of the online world what the absolute priorities are for every business when it comes to promoting their business online.
Therefore, I was delighted when Lindsey Anderson, the founder and CEO of Web Impakt, a web development company, and Lindseys Web, an online resource for businesses, agreed to be interviewed for my podcast.
Without hesitation, Lindsey, stated the following as the “must dos”:

That the site is presentable – and mobile friendly, the latter becoming more and more important.
That you are promoting yourself on 2 social media – definitely Facebook, and one other, depending on your market.
That your site is search engine friendly.
That you capture the email address of everyone who lands on your site.

In the interview talks about how to go about these priorities.
The message is clear – you have to create the right site, and then you must be active on the site, through regular blogs and daily posting on social media. Just building a site and leaving it there is similar to believing the false premise that “build it and they will come”! They won’t, that is for sure.
For those who say – “I don’t have the time” then Lindsey outlines 2 suggestions – firstly, you can build your own virtual team, and she explains how you can do that, or secondly, you can get Lindsey to do it for you, at a very reasonable fee.
If you are serious about building your business, and I know you are, then listen to what Lindsey has to say- and take action.
To help you get going, Lindsey is offering a free website review to help you – and these are her words – “attract more customers and make more money”. To get this review, which is free of charge, go to http://www.lindseysweb.com/website-review-2/
There is a ton of information from Lindsey in this interview, so check it out here.
You can also find out more at www.webimpakt.com and www.lindseysweb.com. Say hi to her on her Facebook and Twitter too.
Thanks, Lindsey, for some great tips.

You know, being liked is not something that one normally associates with high powered success but Michelle Lederman, my guest in this podcast, has researched this topic in quite some detail and her research clearly proves that likability is pretty fundamental to success – both as an individual and as a leader.Michelle is the author of The 11 Laws of Likability, as well as being the Founder and CEO of Executive Essentials, a company that provides communication and leadership training.
In this interview Michelle gives great advice on a variety of topics – all relating to the importance of likability.
Have you ever wondered how to manage that “little voice” in your head that keeps putting you down? Well, Michelle, gives a great tip to manage just that, and explains why that is so important to being liked.
You will hear about Michelle’s advice to “stay unconvinced”, and to stop looking for evidence to justify your own first impressions.
Do you want to get your message across in the most authentic way? Listen to Michelle’s words of wisdom about aligning your verbal, vocal and visual communication.
Why is building your platform to get your message to as many people as possible so important to likability? Michelle’s premise is that the more your message is heard, the more trusted you will become.
The truth is that without likability we will all struggle to get our voice heard, and failing to do that limits our success both personally and professionally.
Michelle’s book is a great well of wonderful tips and strategies to help us win at business and life!

“I generated $24,000 in my first webinar with Steven Essa” – that is a quote from a client of Steven Essa, and Steven was good enough to get on an interview with me to share how any business can grow their income using webinars.
Steven is a native Aussie, and is known internationally as the “Make Money with Webinars Expert”, so that needs no explanation as to what he delivers!
I loved that Steven’s first webinar was to endeavour to raise funds for his local church -and he succeeded.
In his own inimitable way, he then realised he had unknowingly created his first product – “How to Raise Money for Churches and Charities”! Now there is a real entrepreneur!!
Steven is absolutely adamant that webinars can be used in any business – either as a sales tool, or at minimum, to prequalify prospects.
He has done this for all sorts of business – from barristers to baristas, and pilots to professional services.
What is also clear form what Steven says is that webinars can be a great way of building authority and reputation in your marketplace.
If your concern is – who can I get on a webinar as I do not have a list, then Steven’s advice is to develop some joint venture relationships.
What I love about the message form Steven is that using webinars can really help you to leverage your business and shift from charging “dollars for hours” to a much more sustainable business model.
This is a really interesting interview that can open your eyes to a very different model of building your business.
Steven Essa is known internationally as the “Make Money with Webinars Expert.” He was raised in the western-suburbs of Sydney, Australia by hard working immigrant parents. Steven now excites audiences in Australia, the UK, USA, UAE, Ireland, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Cyprus, Singapore and New Zealand.

No matter how bad things are, you have to remember that your story is not over, you are only going through another chapter in your life – and there are lots more to come!
I borrow that sentiment from J Massey, my guest today on our podcast.
That is what J experienced – he hit a rough patch, with health problems hitting him and his wife, no money and a really poor credit rating. Quite a bad chapter in anyone’s life!
But, guess what? He started a real estate business!
Of course, he did – after all what else do you do with no cash and no chance of a bank lending you any!!
J tells his story with great sincerity and at the core of his message is this – to effect change, you must change your mindset. Otherwise nothing changes!
His motto is – “lead with the solution, not the problem”. Now there is a mindset shift that is well worth remembering!
Listen to J’s story – it will enlighten, motivate and excite you!
Now J also teaches others how to achieve what he has achieved and you can check that out on www.cashflowdiary.com.

Customer retention is the holy grail for so many of us, and we hear a lot about loyalty programs bandied around. But do they work?
I am delighted today to share with you an interview I did with Noah Fleming, a thought leader in strategic marketing and customer loyalty.
Noah is the author of Amazon #1 best selling book called – Evergreen: Cultivate The Enduring Customer Loyalty That Keeps Your Business Thriving. With a title like that, how could you not read it?
Noah has lectured about customer retention all over the world and is a much sought after conference speaker on his specialist subject.
In this interview Noah covers many subjects such as:

    * how we get frenzied about finding new customers, but don’t nurture the ones we have.
    * how our behavior can tell our clients that we do not value them – unintentionally, of course.
    * the 3 C’s for customer loyalty – character, community and content, and what he means by all 3, and I can tell you this is pure gold!
    * how we make our businesses truly customer-centric by looking at the business from the outside in.
    * why Noah debunks the concept of “average customer lifetime value”, and tells us how we should approach the concept behind it.
    * how we can change the customer experience to make it great
    * how we can take that jaded customer loyalty program and breathe some life in it.

I can tell you, that for anyone who has an objective to retain customers this is a must listen to podcast.
For me, as a business coach, customer loyalty is absolutely fundamental and reading Noah’s book and talking to him provided me with a lot of takeaways to improve my business.
