Wintrust Business Minute: Boutique hotel catering to LGBTQ+ community coming to Lakeview
Steve Grzanich has the business news of the day with the Wintrust Business Minute.
Planning is moving forward for a boutique hotel in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood that would cater to the LGBTQ+ community. Developers are focused on a plot of land at 3257 N. Halsted. That’s where Yoshi’s Cafe was located before it closed back in 2021. Right now, the plans call for a 51-room hotel and the building will a rainbow-striped facade. The hotel will also feature a restaurant, speakeasy type lounge and rooftop pool. Construction should start next year.
Also, Chicago’s getting another popular chicken chain restaurant. Listen for more below:
