Northfield-based Medline will use artificial intelligence to improve the resiliency of the health care supply chain. The company has announced a partnership with Microsoft and will use a new tool called Mpower. According to Crain’s, it’ll analyze customer and supplier data to make complicated inventory management more manageable and predictive. The partnership comes at a time when the medical supply chain has been stressed by recent hurricanes and resulting shortages. Medline says Mpower will smooth out bumps in supply chain and inventory management while lowering costs for customers.
