There's no feeling like, being in a football game on the road, in the fourth quarter, the biggest play of the game, there’s 80,000 screaming fans, and the ball is thrown to you, will you tense up, or will you rise to the occasion?
In those moments of pressure in my (both on and off the field,) I have used a neutral thought process and approach to show up at my best in those moments.
Neutral thinking is a high-performance strategy, Pro and Elite level athlete use to prepare so that they can trust their training and be at their best in those high level pressure situations.
With neutral thinking the you remove emotion from the situation so that you can identify the facts as what they are in the present moment, or when assessing past events and outcomes. The goal is for you to be able to use all of your experiences to your advantage.
