The right motive, the right mission and the right milestone

are all highlighted in Jesus' high priestly prayer in John 17:1-5.

This part of Jesus' prayer serves as a challenge to us to have the right motive the right mission, and the right milestone in our lives as well!

Where is happiness found? Is it found in unbelief, pleasure, money, position, or power? No. We will look at quotes from those who tried those routes and found them wanting.

Where is it happiness found? In Jesus. Joy is related to a past event - a present reality and future experience. We will examine a passage of Scripture that highlights the true basis of joy.

What hope and help could Jesus give to his disciples knowing that He was soon to be crucified and shortly after He would leave them? The answer is found in the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
