Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 24. I will then key in on verses 13 & 14 - My son, eat honey because it is good, And the honeycomb which is sweet to your taste; So shall the knowledge of wisdom be to your soul, If you have found it, there is a prospect, And your hope will not be cut off. Friends, I like how Solomon likens honey (and the honeycomb) to the desire of God for each of us to have wisdom. They each nourish our soul. I will begin today's podcast by reviewing the three points brought up on yesterday's lesson (Episode #798 - if you did not get a chance to tune in, I invite you to do so). Today is a special lesson for me to teach. It talks about the special relationship between a husband and his wife. By the end of the lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.

2. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for her.

3. A husband who realizes that his wife is truly his own flesh will treat her with love and care.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 23. I will then key in on verse 12 - Apply your heart to instruction, And your ears to words of knowledge. Friends, this verse simply is suggesting we open scripture (the Bible) and doing what it tells us to do. I will begin today's lesson by reviewing the three points I introduced on Monday's podcast (Episode #796 - if you did not get a chance to tune in I invite you to do so). We will then continue our study of the Book of Ephesians. Today we will cover Chapter 5, verses 15-21. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. We are to walk with wisdom, not as fools.

2. Do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

3. We are to be filled with the Spirit.

I will then continue our study on the Book of Ephesians. Today we will be going over Chapter 5, verses 8-14. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth.

2. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.

3. Your dead shall live; Together with my dead body they shall rise.

Friends, our words should be powerful, and we are to use them in such a way as to benefit people. I will then continue our study entitled How to Become a Mature Christian. Friends, becoming a Christian has a responsibility that goes with it. People watch what we do and listen to the words that we speak. We are representatives of Jesus - and should be like him. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Seek ye first the kngdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

2. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding.

3. To be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

After saying the sinner's prayer it may take months or years to rid yourselves of certain habits that you are used to doing. I will begin today's lesson by reviewing the three points I introduced on yesterday's podcast (#793 - If you didn't get a chance to tune in, I invite you to do so). We will then continue our study of the Book of Ephesians. We will be going over Chapter 5, verses 3-7 today. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. People will think of us by the things we do, and the words we speak.

2. The unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God.

3. We are to keep ourselves pure, and not share in other people's sins.

Friends, we are to do our best to please God in all that we do. This verse tells us that if we do that, even our enemies will be at peace with us. I will then continue my study on the Book of Ephesians. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. No fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.2

2. Paul gives the Colossians instructions concerning proper conduct.

3. By your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 15. I will then introduce you to my special guest for the day - Jeff Israel. Jeff is a returning guest who was on previously (October 29, 2024 - Episode #672). Jeff will begin by sharing his verse of the day from Proverb 15. He will then give a couple details of what has happened in his life since he was on the previous time (his prison ministry has expanded from 20 people to 42 people - and he has recently become a chaplain). He will then go back to when he received Jesus as his Lord and Savior in 1983 (his 3rd wife left him shortly thereafter). He will then discuss how he met his fourth wife, how they were involved in the nursing home ministry and what led to that divorce. He will close by asking anyone to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
