Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 27. I will then key in on verse 17 - As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. Friends, we each need at least one person (of the opposite sex) that we can confide in, or pray with, when issues in life come up and it troubles you in some way. On today's podcast I will begin by reviewing the three points I brought up on yesterday's podcast - (Episode #778 - if you did not get a chance to tune in to that podcast, I invite you to do so). We will then continue our study of the Book of Ephesians. Today we will be going over Chapter 4, verses 11-13. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:
1. Some are called to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and some teachers.
2. We should place our confidence not in ourselves, but in the Lord.
3. We are able ministers of the gospel, and ordered top share the good news.
Scriptures referenced on today's lesson:
Proverb 27:17; Ephesians 4:11-13; 2 Corinthians 2:4-6;
Call to Action - Ask yourself this question - do you have someone (of the same sex) that you are close to that you can confide in, pray with etc. about serious issues which sometime come up in our lives? If the answer to that is no, I suggest that you pray to God and ask Him to bring someone into your life that could fill that role.
