Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 11. I will then introduce you to my special guest for the day, John Fant. John is a fellow 2nd year Charis Bible College student. This is the third time John has been on the podcast (he was previously on May 31, 2022 and April 4, 2023). I suggest you not listen to this podcast prior to listening both of the previous podcasts. John discusses how he ended up at Charis Bible College. He talks about that "sweet spot" and being right where you are supposed to be. He then discusses the relationship he has with his new wife and what the future holds in store for him.

In our story today, the woman with the issue of blood had her days prolonged - when she simply touched the hem of Jesus' garment, she was totally restored to health. On today's podcast we will go over two stories which demonstrate faith on the part of two individuals. By the end of this lesson there are two things that I ask that you consider:

1. Jesus heals a 12-year old girl who appeared to have died.

2. Jesus restores to health a woman who had had an issue of blood for 12 years.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 7. I will then key in on verses 1 & 2 - My son, keep my words, And treasure my commands within you. Keep my commands and live, And my law as the apply of your eye. Friends, this proverb is primarily about the crafty harlot and how easily we can fall into the temptation that she can use to entice people into her trap. If we are to avoid this temptation it is imperative that we keep the commands of God & use wisdom in our everyday lives. On today's podcast I will go over the impact that Jesus had on the lives of Peter (and John). By the end of today's lesson, there are three things that I ask that you consider:

1. Peter and John went up together to the temple.

2. A lame man is healed "in Jesus' name."

3. All the people were filled with wonder and amazement.

Call to Action - Meditate and ponder what it must have been like to witness this miracle. Contemplate what it must have been like to live on Earth when Jesus was around performing all of these miracles.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 6. I will then key in on verses 27 & 28 - Can a man take fire to his bosom, And his clothes not be burned? Can one walk on hot coals, And his feet not be seared? Friends, my question for you today is how close do you allow yourself to be tempted into committing sin (of any kind)? On today's podcast we will continue our study on the Gospel according to Luke . By the end of this lesson there are four things that I ask that you consider:

1. Jesus confronts a man that has many demons.

2. Jesus delivers this man from the demons.

3. The delivered man asks Jesus if he can go with him.

4. Jesus tells the man to be a witness in his own region.

Call to Action - Meditate on the question I asked at the top of this page.

Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 5. I will then key in on verse 2 - That you may preserve discretion And your lips may keep knowledge. Friends, it is important that we use discretion in our life. In the context of this particular proverb we are talking about avoiding the immoral woman. We must do all we can to exercise marital fidelity. On today's lesson we will continue our study of the Gospel according to Luke. By the end of this lesson there are three points that I ask that you consider:

1. Take heed how you hear.

2. My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it.

3. Jesus rebukes the wind and waves.

Call to Action - How do you handle point #2 in your life? Do you have any family members that are yet unsaved? Do you spend more time with them, or with committed Christians (that you will spend eternity with)?

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be sharing Proverb 4. I will then introduce you to my special guests for the day, Tony and Jeannine Leonard. Tony and Jeannine are first years students at Charis Bible College. They are both from Iowa and met when they were in high school. Tony went on to College and they married shortly after. Tony soon went into the military and spent 23 years serving our country. Jeannine raised two boys. They share their story and how they were drawn to Charis Bible College. They are now completing their first year here.

It also calls for us to be good stewards and take good care of everything that God has placed into our hands. On today's podcast we will continue our study of the Gospel according to Luke. We will go over the Parable of the Sower which we read about on last Thursday's podcast. By the end of today's lesson there are three things that I ask that you consider:

1. The Seed is the Word of God.

2. The seed that falls on rock doesn't have any roots.

3. The seed that falls on good ground will bear fruit.

Call to Action - How much are you influenced by the cares of this world, and how much are you influenced by the promises of God found in the Bible?
