Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 23. I will then key in on verse 12 - Apply your heart to instruction and your ear to words of knowledge. Friends, God wants us to be open to instruction (and rebuke). He also wants us to have wisdom. This verse tells us that we should do whatever we can to grab hold of wisdom (and to use it as we navigate life). On today's podcast I will be going over a woman who demonstrated her faith in Jesus. She had had an issue of blood for twelve years, and was considered unclean. However, she heard stories about a man names Jesus, and how He was healing many people. By the end of today's podcast there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Regardless of what situation you currently find yourself in, Jesus can help you.

2. She had spent all that she had.

3. Your faith has made you well.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 22. I will then key in on verse 7 - The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender. Friends, this verse talks about the reality that if you borrow from the bank, that you are (literally) a slave to the bank. People borrow for the houses, for their cars, for their entertainment, and for several other reasons. I caution you to not get in over your heads (in debt). It might be very difficult to get out of it. On today's podcast I will continue our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be completing the 4th chapter. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body.

2. Abraham grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God.

3. God accepted Christ's suffering and death as full payment for sin.

1. Where there is no law, there is no transgression.

2. Human beings cannot keep the law, and they therefore face God's wrath.

3. Faith therefore corresponds exactly to grace, which involves trusting God's gift of unmerited favor.

Friends, Proverb 1:7 tells us that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge - so, if we want to have knowledge we need to have an "awe", or reverence for God, and His word. On today's podcast we will be continuing our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be going over Chapter 4, verses 1-12 - entitled Abraham justified by faith. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness (this verse is Romans 4:3; Galatians 3:6 and also James 2:23) - so it is vitally important that we understand the need to have faith.

2. Believing in Jesus is what will make us righteous.

3. Circumcision was the sign and seal of Abraham's righteousness that belonged to him by faith.

Call to Action - Ask yourself this question - Do you consider yourself righteous? Do you feel that your works are important? (It is important that we do good works - but not because it will gain us our salvation - only faith in the finished work of Jesus will that happen)

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 16. I will then key in on verse 3 - Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. Friends, we should not do things for our employer, or for our spouses, or even for us - but as unto the Lord. Things will usually go better for us if we approach everything we do with that in mind. On today's podcast I will go over a short passage of scripture having to do with a widow who has just lost her husband. She had learned that her husband was in debt and she didn't have the means to pay off that debt. This meant that the creditor would be coming to take her two sons from her to pay off that debt. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I would like for you to consider:

1. What do you have in your house that God can use?

2. God can take your "oil" and use in to His glory.

3. Reading the word (the Bible) on a regular basis can bring your faith to a new level.
