Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 16. I will then key in on verse 3 - Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. Friends, we should not do things for our employer, or for our spouses, or even for us - but as unto the Lord. Things will usually go better for us if we approach everything we do with that in mind. On today's podcast I will go over a short passage of scripture having to do with a widow who has just lost her husband. She had learned that her husband was in debt and she didn't have the means to pay off that debt. This meant that the creditor would be coming to take her two sons from her to pay off that debt. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I would like for you to consider:

1. What do you have in your house that God can use?

2. God can take your "oil" and use in to His glory.

3. Reading the word (the Bible) on a regular basis can bring your faith to a new level.

I will then key in on verse 9 - The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but he loves him who pursues righteousness. Friends, a common theme in the Book of Proverbs is the contrast between those who do evil and those that are righteous. This verse tells us that if you are prone to doing evil, you are an abomination to God (He hates it)!; conversely God loves those who pursue righteousness. On today's podcast I will continue my study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be going over Chapter 3, verses 21-31. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. This right standing with Bod is available to all who believe.

2. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

3. Since salvation is through faith, no one can boast before God.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 14. I will then key in on verses 5-7 - A faithful witness does not lie, but a false witness breathes out lies. A scoffer seeks wisdom in vain, but knowledge is easy for a man of understanding. Leave the presence of a fool, for there you do not meet words of knowledge. Friends, these verses talk about the importance of watching our words. If we are righteous the words that come out of our mouth will have fruit (they will be productive). Fools will spew forth words that bring harm to people. On today's podcast we will be continuing our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will go over Chapter 2, verses 13-20. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Human beings deceive through flattery and lying.

2. Their feet are swift to shed blood; in their paths are ruin and misery.

3. There is no fear of God before their eyes - I think this is the main reason for the harm people cause with the destructive words that come out of their mouths or the actions that they do.

The implication is that if you are wicked you will suffer consequences and your life will not go well; if you are righteous life will go much better for you. Something to think about! On today's lesson we will go over Chapter 3, verses 1-12. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Regardless of what we do in our life, God will always be faithful.

2. Salvation is from the Jews.

3. None is righteous, no, not one.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 9. I will then key in on verse 10 - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight. Friends, chapters 1-9 of proverbs talks about wisdom and all the aspects of having it in your life. Verse 10 tells us that if we have a reverential "awe" of God in our lives (of His goodness and all that He has done for us) that wisdom will come our way and, hopefully, will improve our everyday lives. On today's podcast I will continue our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will go over Chapter 2, verses 25-29. By the end of today's podcast there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Circumcision would be of value for salvation if the circumcised would obey the law.

2. No one can obey the law perfectly.

3. We will always fall short of the law God desires of each of us (without Jesus)

This verse talks about the necessity of seeking out wisdom. God clearly wants us to have (and to use) wisdom in our decision making. On today's podcast I will continue my study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be going over Chapter 2, verses 12-24. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. The doers of the law will be justified.

2. The work of the law is written on their hearts.

3. The Jews are indicted for failing to practice what they preach.

Her house is the way to Sheol, going down to the chambers of death. Friends, Proverb 7 speaks of the implications of having sexual relations with someone that is not your spouse. Do not alloow yourselves to be tempted by them and drawn into a relationship that could be disastrous for you. On today's podcast we will continue our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be going over Chapter 2, verses 6-11. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. He will render to each one according to his works.

2. There will be tribulation and distress for every human being who does evil.

3. God shows no partiality.

Call to Action - Friends, Proverb 7 is a warning to us of the harm that an adultress relationship can have on your life. Serious consequences can be the result. Think seriously before entering (and allowing yourself to be tempted) a relationship like this.
