Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 23. I will then key in on verses 4 & 5 - Do not overwork to be rich; Because of your own understanding, cease! Will you set your eyes on that which is not? For riches certainly make themselves wings; They fly away like an eagle toward heaven. Friends, we need to put our trust in God (and His son Jesus) and not our money or material things. On today's podcast I will begin by going over the three points that I introduced on Monday's podcast (Episode #841 - If you did not get a chance to tune in I invite you to check it out). On today's podcast we will cover Chapter 16 of Luke's Gospel, verses 9-13. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Money in and of itself is not a problem, but the of money is.

2. He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.

3. You cannot serve both God & mammon.

Friends, it is fine to make plans, but it is not OK to play what the Lord has expressly forbidden. On today's podcast we will continue our study of the Gospel, according to Luke. Today we will begin Chapter 16 (going over verses 1-8). By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. We are to be good stewards of all that God has given us.

2. There will come a day when each of us will give account of his life to God.

3. The master commended the steward for his shrewdness.

Friends, if you are determined on further advancing the Kingdom of God, the gifts that He has given you will open doors that were formerly closed. On today's podcast we will continue our study which I have been conducting on Fridays' podcasts - entitled How to Become a Mature Christian. 2. A kingdom-focused mindset means seeing everything - our time, talents, and treasures - through the lens of eternity.

3. We should look for ways to invest in eternal values.

Friends, we are to do all we can to avoid strife - a lesson we can learn from the Parable of the Prodigal Son. On today's podcast we will continue our study of the Gospel according to Luke. I will begin this lesson by reviewing the three points I brought up on yesterday's podcast - Episode #838 - If you didn't get a chance to tune in, I invite you to do so. We will then conclude the 15th chapter of Luke - beginning in verse 25. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. The older brother is NOT happy about his brother's return.

2. The older brother is angry that the Dad is going to celebrate the younger son with a party.

3. Where we are going to spend eternity is more important than anything else.

Today we will be going over Luke, Chapter 15, verses 21-24. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. The returning son was made a full member of the family again.

2. My son was dead, ans is alive again; he was lost, and is found.

3. Confessed sins are covered by the sacrifice of His perfect Son on the Cross (the blood of Jesus).

We will then continue our story of the prodigal son - Luke, Chapter 15, verses 17-20. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. The son expected nothing and relied completely on the mercy of his father.

2. It took courage and a strong commitment to the Lord for Nathan to speak these words to the king.

3. The father of the prodigal son is an example of how Jesus forgiv es us of our sins.
