Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 4, I will then key in on verse 7 - The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight. Friends, it is very clear that God desires us all to have wisdom - but wisdom can only be acquired by either hearing (or reading) the Bible. On today's podcast I will continue our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be going over Chapter 5: verses 12-17. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Sin came into the world through one man.

2. We are all gorn into the world spiritually dead.

3. Jesus offers us the free gift of salvation (freedom from a sin nature)

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill & Judy Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 30. After reading the proverb Judy & I will share our thoughts of verses 5 & 6. We will then discuss our recent cruise that we took to the Bahamas. We will then discuss the fact that we have recently celebrated our 30th anniversary. We will share about some of things that we have learned over those 30 years. We will offer a bit of wisdom to younger couples who are just now getting into that stage of life. Judy will then invite anyone who would like to make Jesus the Lord of their lives and close in prayer.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 29. I will then key in on verse 1 - He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy. Friends, Verse 1 could easily be describing the country of Israel during the time when Hosea was the prophet that God called to that country. On today's podcast we will begin the first half of Chapter 4 of Hosea. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Hear the word of the Lord.

2. Therefore you shall stumble in the day.

3. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

Call to Action - Imagine what it must have been like where the Israelites were worshipping Baal. Whether it was the priests and prophets eating the meat which they had brought as sacrifices or watching (or indulging) in explicit sex as part of this Baal worship, it must have incensed God (since God is a jealous God)!

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. On today's podast we will be going over Proverb 28. I will then key in on verse 13 - He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. Friends, after today's lesson you will understand that we could very easily be talking about the Israelites in this verse (during the time of the prophet Hosea). They had turned away from God and succumbed to Baal worship. They definitely were not prospering as a nation. After today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Love a woman who is loved by a lover.

2. So I bought her for myself.

3. The children of Israel shall return & seek the Lord their God.

Call to Action - Have you fallen into the trap that the Israelites of Hosea's time did - having a god (or idol) in your life? Think about it. It could be your job; it could be drugs; it could be alcohol; it could be sports - an idol is anything that you place before your relationship with God.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 26. I will then key in on verse 11 - As a dog returns to his own vomit, So a fool repeats his folly. In today's lesson we will put the Israelite people (living in the land of Israel during the time of the Minor Prophet Hosea) in the "dog" posture, and that they returned to their own vomit (worshipping the god Baal). On today's lesson we will continue our study on the Book of the Prophet Hosea. We will go over the remainder of Chapter 2 (verses 14-23). By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. The Israelites will call me "My Husband, and no longer call Me "My Master."

2. I will betroth you to me forever.

3. God will declare, "You are My People, and they Shall say, "You are Our God!"

Call to Action - How often do you neglect the call that God may have placed on your life (and you become fools?)
