Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 22. I will then key in on verse 2 - The rich and the poor have this in common, The Lord is the maker of them all. This verse simply reminds us that - whether we are rich or poor - God loves us all. Friends, if God loves everyone, we, in turn, should love everyone as well. On today's podcast I will go over a story when the prophet Elijah raises up a son who had stopped breathing back to life. It is found in the 1st Book of Kings, chapter 17. This prophet brought the boy up to his room (which the woman had prepared for him on her roof). The prophet would come and stay with the woman when he was in town. He raises the child up (with God's help) and brings the boy back down to her. She acknowledges that Elijah is, indeed, a man of God.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 21. I will then key in on verse 2 - Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But the Lord weighs the hearts. Friends, we need to take the focus off of ourselves, and put our focus on those around us. On today's podcast I will begin by reviewing the three points I brought up on yesterday's podcast (Episode #861 - If you did not get a chance to tune in to this podcast, I invite you to do so). We will then continue our study of the Gospel, according to Luke. Today we will be covering verses 24-30 of Chapter 18. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. How hard it is for those with riches to enter the kingdom of God.

2. With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.

3. Jesus assured him that the life investment he and the other disciples had made would have dividends "a hundredfold."

I will then key in on verse 27 - The spirit of a man is the lamp of the Lord, Searching all the inner depths of his heart. Friends, in our lesson today the rich young ruler's heart wasn't where it needed to be. He was selfish, he was arrogant, and only thought about himself. Jesus was not impressed. Because of this the rich young ruler went away unsatisfied. On today's podcast I will begin by reviewing the three points that I introduced on Monday's podcast (Episode #860 - If you did not get a chance to tune in to that podcast I invite you to check it out). We will then continue our study of the Gospel, according to Luke. We will go over verses 18-23 on Chapter 18. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. No one is good but One, that is, God.

2. Jesus was determining whether the ruler's treasure lay with God or money.

3. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

We will then begin today's lesson. Today we will be covering verses 15-17 of the 18th chapter of Luke. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.

2. All people - even small children are important to God.

3. The purpose of reading the Bible is not only to learn more, but to become mature in the faith.

Friends, we are all to have a fear of the Lord - (not be afraid of Him, but to have a reverence of Him - for who He actually is). 1. How good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 14. I will then key in on verse 12 - There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. Friends, today we will be talking about the contrast between pride and humility. It is something that we need to be aware of. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. I thank God that I am not like other men (friends, we should never compare ourselves to other people).

2. Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted. ( in our lesson today a king, King Nebuchadnezzar was full of pride - and God humbled him (and because he humbled himself, God then restored his kingdom back to him.)

3. King Nebuchadnezzar unmistakably acknowledges Daniel's God as the omnipotent, eternal, sovereign of the universe.
