Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 8. I will then key in on verse 8 - All the words of my mouth are with righteousness; Nothing crooked or perverse is in them. Friends, this is wisdom speaking. If you speak with wisdom, you will speak with righteousness. Nothing perverse is in them. This speaks of why having wisdom is so important in our lives. On today's podcast we will begin the 20th Chapter of Luke. Today we will be going over the first 8 verses of this chapter. In this chapter the religious leaders questions Jesus's authority. By the end of this lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. The chief priests and other religious leaders questioned Jesus's authority.

2. John the Baptist announced the coming of Jesus.

3. Only by placing your faith in Jesus - the One who came, died, and was raised again, can one be saved.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 5. I will then key in on verse 21 - For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord, And He ponders all his paths. Friends, this verse is a reminder that God watches every single thing that we do. If we are in a good place, that should be comforting to us. On today's podcast I will remind everyone of the commandment that God gave to us - that we are to share the good news of the Bible with the people we come into contact with. Today I'll be going over three short passages of scripture to encourage us and help us in this venture. By the end of today's podcast there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. All authority has been given to Jesus in heaven and on earth.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 4. I will then key in on verse 23 - Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. Friends, it is important that we keep our heart pure - and not on things of evil. Whatever we allow to get into our hearts will eventually be what comes out of our mouths in the words we speak. On today's podcast we will be continuing our study of the Gospel, according to Luke. Before beginning today's lesson I will review the three points I introduced on yesterday's podcast (#871 - if you did not get a chance to tune into that podcast, I invite you to do so). I will then pick up where we left off yesterday. Today we will be completing the 19th chapter of Luke - going over two short passages of scripture. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Now as He drew near He saw the city and wept over it.

2. "My house is a house of prayer, but you have turned it into a den of thieves."

3. Jesus' actions at the temple caused the Jewish religious leaders to strengthen their resolve to destroy Him.

I will then key in on verses 11 & 12 - My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor detest His correction; For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights. Friends, we can be corrected by God either through scripture (the Word of God) or by people that He has placed in our lives - such as our spouse, a parent, a child, a good friend, or even a co-worker or boss). On today's podcast I will begin by reviewing the three points I introduced on Monday's podcast (Episode #869 - if you did not get a chance to tune in to that podcast I invite you to do so). I will then go over the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem found in Luke, Chapter 19 - verses 28-40. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Jesus riding on a donkey was the fulfillment of a prophecy.

2. And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road.

3. If these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.

Today we will be going over Proverb 2. I will then introduce you to my special guest for the day - Ayanna Daggy. Ayanna is 17 years old, and is the youngest person that I've ever had on this podcast. She will share her favorite verse from Proverb 2. She will then discuss her upbringing and how she received Jesus at an early age. There were a few years when she strayed a bit from the Lord, but she renewed her commitment to the Lord last July. Since then she has been serving in the Lord, witnessing to people on her Social media accounts, as well as her family. Her family, including a sister and two brothers, are now all saved! Praise God. She will then discuss how having God (and receiving Jesus) is the most important decision that she has ever made and how it has changed her life.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction. Friends, this is a very foundational verse. What this verse says is that if you do not fear the Lord then you cannot have wisdom. A very powerful truth - one that we each need to understand. On today's podcast we will continue our study of the Gospel, according to Luke. Today we will be going over a parable beginning on verse 11 and going through verse 27 of Luke, Chapter 19. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. The popular expectation and hope was that Christ would establish His kingdom immeditately.

2. Jesus wants to see fruit in each our lives today.

3. A person must use the gifts God has given to them, or they will lose them.
