Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley.  Today we will be going over Proverb 3.  Upon reading the Proverb I will introduce you to my special guest, Noah Flint, who is a fellow second year student at Charis Bible College.  He will go over his favorite verses pertaining to Proverb 3, then give a little bit of background of his upbringing.  He will then go over his experience in college and how he ended up joining Charis as a first year student at Charis in Raleigh, NC.  He is now at the Woodland Park campus for second year.  In addition he talks about his recent marriage.  His wife is now completing her 1st year on-line.  He explains how the Lord blessed him with his current job teaching many Charis kids at a private school where he is teaching band, choir, and elementary school children music in general.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 2. I will then key in on verse 21 & 22 - For the upright will inhabit the land, and those with integrity will remain in it, but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the treacherous will be rooted out of it. Friends, these two verses contrast what will happen with the righteous (those with integrity) - they will inhabit the land from those that are not righteous (the will be cut off from the land). Let's choose to be righteous and have integrity in our lives. On today's podcast we will be continuing our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be covering verses 15-22 of Chapter 8. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. We have received the Spirit of adoption as sons by whom we cry, "Abba, Father."

2. The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God.

3. The whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill & Judy Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 27. Judy & I will then discuss the verses that spoke to us today (Judy - verse 16; & Bill - verse 23). We will then discuss a few things about our grandkids: 1. That our oldest grandson turned 19 last month; that our oldest granddaughter turns 21 next week and that we have a new addition to the family - our 8th grandchild (a son) that was born January 30th. Judy will discuss the joys of being a grandparent & what a blessing grandkids are. Bill will then discuss the progress he has made on his Lesson From the Psalms podcast (he just completed Psalm 138 of 150). He will then discuss the fact that he has almost completed his project of reading the entire King James Bible (still need to complete Deuteronomy, Judges, 2 Kings, 1 Chronicles, 2 Chronicles, & Ezekiel. We will then discuss the added responsibility that we've been given at the church we are currently attending. Judy will then give the invitation and say a prayer over any new believers.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 26. I will then key in on verses 4 & 5 - Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself. Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own eyes. Friends, these verses are very interesting. First off, when we hear fools talking we know that their speech is foolishness. You then have a decision to make - do you just ignore him (her), or do you try to correct them? There is a good chance if you try to correct them that they will continue their discourse (and it ends up being a waste of time). On today's podcast we will be continuing our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be going over Chapter 8, verse 9-14. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him.

2. Since Christians live in the Spirit they are no longer captive to the flesh and should no longer live according to the flesh.

3. All who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.

Call to Action - When you are deciding to partake in an activity and the Holy Spirit checks you (tells you NOT to do it) do you listen to Him? or do you continue on? The Holy Spirit is the teacher, and should be our guide. We should listen to Him.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 25. I will then key in on verse 11 - A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold ion a setting of silver. Friends, our words can be (and are) very powerful. If we say the right thing to the right person (at the right time) it can change the trajectory of their day. We should only utter words that are uplifting and encourage people. On today's podcast we will continue our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be going over the first 8 verses of Chapter 8. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

2. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mond pon the Spirit is life and peace.

3. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 24. I will then introduce you to my special guest, Ray Patterson. Ray is the co-ordinator of the 3rd year Business School at Charis Bible College. He was previously on twice - January 31, 2023 (Episode 217) & June 25th, 2024 (Episode 582). Ray has graciously accepted the invitation to become a regular contributor to this podcast. On today's podcast Ray will share his favorite verse from Proverb 24. He will then discuss what God has been speaking with him about lately. He will discuss his wife still a member of the school board, the state of affairs politically in Colorado and also in the United States of America. He mentions the need to get back to the days in which our founding father's of our country established the Constitution of our country.

Friends, God wants us to have wisdom (See James 1:5). However to acquire wisdom it will take effort on our part. It will not come automatically. On today's podcast I will continue where we left off on last Friday's podcast (Episode #963 - if you did not get a chance to check it out I invite you to do so). By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Pain during the bearing of children was Eve's punishment for disobedience.

2. Adam's punishment was the hardship and frustration that will accompany his labor.

3. Because of their disobedience Adam & Eve were banished from the Garden of Eden.

Call to Action - How aware are you of the Holy Spirit (dwelling on the inside of each and everyone of us). Do you ever get checks in your spirit (whenever you are thinking of doing something that you would know would not please God).
