Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 26. I will then key in on verse 28 - A lying tongue hates its victims, and a flattering mouth works ruin. Friends, this is a very telling verse about how destructive our words can be. If you are willing to lie to someone you are with, the verse says that you hate that person. Think about that for a moment. The Bible tells us that God hates lying (Proverb 6 -verse 19. The second part of that verse says that if you flatter someone (maybe to gain some favor with them) that it will bring forth ruin. Very important verse to remember! On today's podcast we will be going over the importance of obeying those that are in authority over us (Romans 13:1-7). By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Let every person be subject to the governing authorities.

2. Therefore one must be in subjection not only to avoid God's wrath, but also for the sake of conscience.

3. The tree of life once banned to guilty humanity will satisfy the city's residents year around (that is - in heaven)

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 25. I will then key in on verses 3 & 4 - *I just realized that I read Proverb 24 (instead of Proverb 25 - By wisdom a house i built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. Friends, if we wish to have wisdom, we need to have a fear of the Lord. If we have a fear of the Lord, we will desire to please Him. If we desire to please Him we need to know what pleases Him (and read about His desires for our lives). The only way we can do that is to read the Bible (His holy word). On today's podcast we will be continuing our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be going over verses 11-21 of Chapter 12. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

2. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

3. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley.  Today we will be going over Proverb 24.  I will then introduce you to my guest for the day, Brianna Summer.  Brianna is a second time guest.  I ask that you go back and listen to the September 20, 2022 podcast when Brianna made her debut.  Brianna is now a second year Charis Bible College student.  We will pick up where we left off on her last podcast.  She will give an update on her mom's physical condition.  She will then go on and discuss having knee surgery and discuss how that has been a real blessing.  She will then share how much she has learned in second year at Charis and how she has grown in our IAG (Inter-Active groups).  She will then go into great detail about her second year mission trip which she just returned from in the country of Romania.

I will then key in on verse 13 - Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you strike him with a rod, he will not die. Friends, we are to instruct our children in the way they should conduct their lives (Proverb 22:6) - however there will be times when they do not follow our instructions. In those situations we are to discipline them. We should do this in love - but children need to be told when they are in error, and consequences should follow. On today's podcast we will be continuing our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be going over the first 10 verses of Chapter 12. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. We are to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God.

2. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind.

3. Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil, hold fact to what is food.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 20. I will then key in on verse 20 - If one curses his father or his mother, his lamp will be put out in utter darkness. Friends, this is a very sobering verse. Regardless of the relationship you have (had) with your earthly parents, you should never curse them (or speak evil about them). It will result in you not living a long life. On today's podcast we will be continuing our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be completing Chapter 11. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. God is merciful and eager for more and more people to be saved.

2. And in this way all Israel will be save (this verse is a prophesy that there will come a day in the future when the majority of the Jewish people will receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior).

3. For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 19. I will then key in on verse 5 - A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will not escape. In Proverb 6, verses 16-19 it lists the 7 things that God absolutely hates. If God hates them, we should as well. Two of the things He hates are a false witness and lying. If we do the things that God hates, there will be a price to pay. Look over the list of these 7 things and do all you can do to avoid doing them. On today's podcast we will be continuing our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will go over the first 21 verses of Chapter 11. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. God has not reject His people whom He foreknew.

2. Through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make Israel jealous.

3. If God did not spare the natural branches, neither will He spare you.

I will then key in on verse 4 - The words of a man's moth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a bubbling brook. Friends, this verse speaks about the power that our words can have. The second portion speaks only about people who are well-versed in the Bible. Once you begin to read the word of God, wisdom will begin to "flow" on the inside of you. On today's podcast we will be continuing our study of the Book of Romans. We will be completing Chapter 10 today (verses 14-21). By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. How beautiful are the feet of those that preach the good news!

2. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

3. All day long I have help out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley.  Today we will be going over Proverb 17.  I will then introduce you to my special guest, Don Smith.  Don is a fellow 2nd year Charis Bible College student.  Don is from Virginia and is from a family that went to church.  He gave his heart to the Lord at the age of 11.  He shares his testimony and has shown his growth in the Lord.
