    Accept Yourself – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1891 of our trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. So we are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.
Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase wisdom and create a living legacy. Proverbs 16:16 says, "How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver!" If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget.
Today’s quote is from Maxwell Maltz, and it is, "Accept yourself as you are. Otherwise, you will never see opportunity. You will not feel free to move toward it; you will feel you are not deserving."
    Accept Yourself
God created you wonderfully complex and marvelous. Therefore, since you are designed as an imager of God, you should accept yourself as you are. God created you as you are to seize the excellent opportunities that He has planned for you. Still, you will only be able to take advantage of those opportunities if you accept yourself.
Who can stand against us if God is the designer of our lives? God makes no mistakes, and he created you as a male or female with specific talents, abilities, and skills to serve His purpose. To ignore or deny these facts is to spit into God’s face as if He did not know what He was doing.
Accept yourself, and accept the purpose for which you were created. It is then that you will be able to live the rich and satisfying life planned for you before the beginning of time.
    Isaiah 64:8
And yet, O Lord, you are our Father.
We are the clay, and you are the potter.
We all are formed by your hand.

The Past, Present, and Future – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1890 of our trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek.
Today’s quote is from Wisdom-Trek, and it is, “Accept your past without regrets. Handle your present with confidence. Face your future without fear.”
    The Past, Present, and Future
Our outlook on life will determine our level of joy and peace. We all have decisions in our past that we may decide differently based on our current wisdom and knowledge, but we can’t change the past, making us who we are today. Nothing is gained by regretting the past. Instead, accept the past and use it as an instructor to make wiser decisions today and in the future. We can handle the present with confidence knowing that we are wiser and more knowledgeable today than in the past.
The decision and choices we are making today will add to our wisdom and knowledge, allowing us to face the future with boldness. We can use this courage to march into the future without fear. God, our creator, has everything in His control, so there is no reason to fear. He has created us to be His imagers, and as such, we can confidently move through each day without fear. Even if we fail and make unwise choices, we can continue forward, knowing God is with us.
    2 Timothy 1:6-8
This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News.

Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. Proverbs 16:16  How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver!    If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:
Today’s quote is from Les Brown, and it is: Accept responsibility for your life. Know that it is you who will get you where you want to go, no one else.
    Accept Responsibility
It is so easy to blame others or our lot in life instead of accepting responsibility for everyone or everything that comes across your path in life. You first must realize that people and life are not always fair. There are many situations in life that we can wish were different, but that is not going to change them. You can only change how you react to people and circumstances, which will determine your outcome. Therefore, you must remain persistent and dependable even when others are not. In doing so, you will be able to go where you desire and do the things you desire. Be faithful in all things, accept responsibility for what you need to, and then leave the rest to God to take care of. We do not need to worry, fret, or blame. Just keep on keeping on.
    Luke 16:10-11
“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?

Prove Grace through Works – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1888 of our trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek.
Today’s quote is from Zig Ziglar, and it is, "Accept God’s grace through faith, then prove His grace through works."
    Prove Grace through Works
God’s grace to us is free and abundant. We can do nothing to earn it, and there is nothing we can do to lose it short of refusing to accept the grace extended to us. Mercy is the act of withholding deserved punishment, while grace is the act of endowing unmerited favor. In His mercy, God does not give us the punishment we deserve, namely hell, while in His grace, God provides us with the gift we do not deserve, namely heaven.
Mercy and grace are the utmost attributes of love. The essence of the Bible is loving God and loving people through the lens of Jesus Christ. Two great works of God have displayed His all-powerful, gracious, and merciful nature: creation and redemption.
While God’s work of creation demonstrated His mighty power, God’s work of redemption revealed His marvelous love, shown through His mercy and grace. This very love of God is indispensable for the existence of life and the salvation of humanity. As we are told in Psalm 145:8-9, "The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry, and filled with unfailing love. The Lord is good to everyone. He showers compassion on all his creation."
Acknowledging all of what I have just mentioned, we cannot take God’s grace for granted, and our lives should be living proof of the grace of God through our works. Grace is not provided to us because of our works, but our actions should reflect the grace that has been granted.
    James 2:14-20
What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?  Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing,  and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing....

Learn Through Experiences – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1887 of our trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek.
Today’s quote is from Michael Jordan, and it is, “Accept a loss as a learning experience and never point fingers.”
    Learn Through Experiences
The philosophy of Wisdom-Trek is that life is a slow but persistent trek. Therefore, we focus on moving forward, one step at a time. Of course, there are days when we will not make any progress, and days when we are knocked backward on our path, but we never give up. We accept days of loss as an opportunity to learn from our experiences and better understand what caused us to be delayed in our progress. Learning from these experiences prepares us to move forward with a new resolve, not to make the same mistakes that caused us the previous loss.
We must resist the temptation to point fingers and blame others or circumstances for our loss, and instead, we must move forward without blaming others or being victimized by our experiences. God permits us to go through experiences and tribulations to mature and strengthen us and bring glory to His name. We should accept those tough times as gifts from God. Learn from the difficult days, rejoice in the easy days, and keep moving forward.
    1 Peter 5:8-11
Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are.
In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. All power to him forever! Amen.

    100% Responsible – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1886 of our trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek.
Today’s quote is from Gramps, and it is, "A rich and satisfying life all starts with deciding to take 100% responsibility. Stop making excuses, stop blaming other people, your culture, your background, or anything else, and start on whatever you want to do with your life because today is the first day of the rest of your life."
    100% Responsible
We all have situations and issues that we could use as excuses for why we are in our position in life today. While our past and its obstacles may have contributed to who and where we are in life up to this point, it does not need to be an excuse for where we end up in the future. That is a choice that you need to make today.
Today’s choices will be why you find yourself a year from now, ten years from now, or ten decades from now. You need to start today to make wise choices to ensure you will be where you desire to be in the future, in any area of life. I realize that I have mentioned this many times before, but you cannot defy God’s law of planting and harvesting. It is universal and as fixed as the law of gravity.
What you plant today, you will harvest in the future. But like the farmer who patiently waits for the crop to grow and nurtures it throughout the process, you will need that same commitment in your life if you desire a rich and satisfying life in the future. So stop making excuses, accept 100% responsibility for your life, and start planting today, so you will be able to harvest tomorrow.
    Galatians 6:7-8
Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

    True Abundance – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1885 of our trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek.
So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:
Today’s quote is from Wisdom_Trek, and it is, “Abundance is the ability to enjoy each day, not the size of our bank account.”
    True Abundance
We all feel we would have an abundance if we didn’t have debt and had more money in the bank. But, the truth is the size of your bank account, car, or house has little to do with actual abundance. The abundance of our hearts is true riches.
Wealthy people or those with an abundance of material things are usually no more satisfied or at peace with themselves and others than someone who has very little of this world’s goods. An abundance only comes from being grateful for what you have already. If you are not thankful for what you already have, you will not be grateful for more.
Learn to be content with whatever you have, and then if God allows you to obtain more material wealth, you will be satisfied at all times. Focus on having an abundance of the fruit of the spirit found in Galatians 5:22-23, "But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!"

We need to learn contentment from the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:11-12.
Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have. I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little.

Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1884 of our trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek.
Today’s quote is from Croft M. Pentz, and it is, “Abraham did not know for sure where he was going, but he knew for sure with whom he was going.”
Who Are You Traveling Life With
I like to plan and set goals in life. I want to know where I am heading and have a reasonable idea of how I will get there. That is a reasonable expectation for much of our lives, especially in the modern world. But, unfortunately, I would say that most of us, as we age into the latter years of our lives and look back on the road, we have traveled, it probably does not look like we had anticipated when we set out in our early adult lives. But is it unfortunate?
The pathways that we take in life, either planned or unplanned, make us who we are today. I would not change my life journey because I am a better person because of what I have gone through. This was undoubtedly true of Abraham, the father of the Hebrew nation. God instructed what seemed like, out of the blue, and Abraham and his wife Sarah departed and headed out to a land that God promised to give his descendants.
So, when God calls us, we need to follow. Abraham was 75 at the time, and had no children to make descendants, so I am sure this was difficult for him to grasp. However, Abraham was obedient and packed up his family and obeyed. He did not have to be overly concerned because although he did not know where he was heading, he knew and trusted the one he was traveling with. We need to do the same.
    Hebrews 11:8-12
It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going.  And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.
It was by faith that even

Don't Fear Difficulty – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1883 of our trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek.
Today’s quote is from Rita Levi-Montalcini, and it is, "Don’t fear difficult moments. The best comes from them."
    Don’t Fear Difficulty
No one enjoys doing difficult tasks or having difficult days and weeks, but life for everyone has its difficult moments. But unfortunately, some people seem to have an abundance of difficulties. It may be some difficulties we bring on ourselves, but many are just part of being in a non-perfect world.
As with most things in life, how we view life, even the difficult times, determines our ability to overcome problems. If we allow them to devastate us, then they will. If instead, we learn from the difficulties and allow ourselves to grow through them, then the best will come from the most difficult of times.
We must keep in perspective that God knows and understands our good times and bad, and Jesus Christ experienced all that we have or will go through, yet without sin. Let us try to be more like that perfect imager as we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
    Hebrews 4:14-16
So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

Be True to Yourself – Daily Wisdom
Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1882 of our trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote and some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek.
So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:
Today’s quote is from Unknown, and it is, “Be true to yourself, and if you cannot put your heart in it, take yourself out of it.”
    Be True to Yourself
For the Christ-follower, this quote can only ring true when we align our worldview with Biblical precepts. Then, when we are faithful to God and His principles, we can be true to ourselves because God’s will for us becomes our will. When this happens, our hearts will mirror God’s heart, and we will know what activities we should be part of and what activities we should refrain from.
Some of those activities that we choose not to engage with may be practical activities, but not for us at this season of life. If you cannot invest your heart into an activity, then it is best to refrain from it, at least for now.
As I grow older, my priorities are changing, and I don’t have the same goals and ambitions that I once pursued. This change of focus is neither good nor bad, as long as they do not violate God’s principles, but with each season of life, we change, morph, hopefully, become wiser and more mature, and our priorities shift from success to significance.
I desire more for significance in the lives of others now, whereas, in the past, I would more readily pursue success. What is important is that we are true to ourselves for this particular season of life, but what is more important is that we are true to God and his calling during each season of life.
    1 Timothy 6:11-14
But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses. And I charge you before God, who gives life to all, and before Christ Jesus, who gave a good testimony before Pontius Pilate, that you obey this command without wavering. Then no one can find fault with you from now until our Lord Jesus Christ comes again.
