Steve D and Steve W are in this week to talk about the Ashes, the whereabouts of Paul, and the stock market this week. Why has the FTSE 100 been going down every day this week?
We’re starting with a question for Paul (who we thought might be here) With dividends yielding 4% and bank accounts returning 7%, why is anyone a dividend investor right now?
Then it’s on to a stock that both Steves quite like –Wise (formerly Transferwise). They’ve got a clever mechanism for moving money across borders and they’re winning as interest rates go up, so is it a buy?
After that, it’s on to US news. Goldman Sachs has been having a horrible time with its Apple credit card deal, so why does American Express suddenly have an interest in this? Steve W has an idea…
And lastly, we’re looking at Accenture – a stock we’ve not talked about on the show before. Steve W thinks it’s a great stock and Steve D has the info from the latest earnings. Is there an opportunity here?
