Elizabeth also speaks candidly about the mental battle that followed — PTSD, sleepless nights, struggling with her appearance and self-worth, and learning to appreciate the everyday things she once took for granted.

Now 22, studying business at USC, running a business and applying to law school, Elizabeth explains how surviving the accident completely changed her perspective on work, family, gratitude and making the most of life.
