Children across the globe who receive gifts for the holidays will dread receiving clothes that will be mixed in amongst their shiny new toys.  However, Iceland warns us against throwing those woolen socks to the side.  Wearing them just might save your life when Jólakötturinn, or the Yule Cat, peeks into your window and eats anyone who hasn’t received new clothes for Christmas.

Many ghost stories take place in creepy old mansions or within dark forests and that is where the ghost stories remain. However, one true spirit of a murdered young woman extended into the courtroom where her testimony was admitted as evidence and utilized to convict the man who had murdered her. Forever after, she is known as the Greenbrier Ghost.

Logic tells us that dolls are inanimate objects without the ability to move, speak or cause things to happen. But we’ve all experienced it: that feeling that something or someone was watching us; that an inanimate object had come alive.

In the swamplands of Florida’s Everglades there is said to live a large, shaggy, man-beast (putting it into the same category as Bigfoot, Sasquatch, or the Yeti).  This Florida version, however, is distinct because of its terrible smell and elusive behavior.  Though there have been many sightings over the years within the Florida everglades but no definitive proof of the creature we discuss known as the Skunk Ape.
