Witnesses of Christ Ministry

Join us as Pastor Sammy delivers the message entitled, "Jude, Beware of False Teachers."

Sermon Notes:

Jude has a very powerful message for Christians of his day. He gives them a stern warning to remain with God and to trust the love of Jesus Christ. If anyone has ever seen the love of God in Christ up close and personal, it is Jude because he grew up in the some home as LORD Jesus. Jude witnessed Jesus’ miracles and he heard Him speak God’s good news of salvation. Although Jude and his brothers first rejected the fact that their brother Jesus is the Son of God, we see them listed in Luke 2 as numbered with the 120 in the Upper Room who received Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. Here is what we can expect from Jude’s teaching:

False teachers are greedy, don’t like authority, and are sexually immoral

False teachers have nothing to offer from God, they lack spiritual substance

False teachers are already condemned

False teachers deny the sovereignty of LORD Jesus

False teachers are in the same category as those angels who left their first estate and married women

Jude closes his letter with a powerful doxology of God
