LIFE UPDATE AND TAKING MESSY INSPIRED ACTION 

Want a really honest truth about today's episode?...I ALMOST didn't record it. Life has been a little (okay a lot) hectic to say the least. I have been trying to record this podcast since last Thursday and each time that I did I felt like I had nothing to say. 

"You could just miss a week."

"No one would even notice." 

"You've been so consistent, what's one week going to do?"

These were the exact thoughts that ran through my mind these last few days and I almost let them win. But then I remember that messy action is always better than no action.

RED FLAGS OF INVESTING + HOW TO KNOW WHEN TO INVEST 

Here's what I have learned from continuously investing in my business over the last 6 years; there is no such thing as a bad investment there are sometimes however expensive lessons...which you wouldn't have received any other way. 

I have have invested in coaches that completely changed my life and my business. I have invested in containers and walked away with resentment having no idea what I actually got out of it. I have also invested in containers that were meh...not great, not bad, just somewhere in the middle. 

As easy as it can be to get upset about the ones that we are quick to label as "bad," every single one of them served my in some way. 

Not only has it taught me a lot about myself and how I want to run my business personally, it has also taught me a lot about when I know if an investment is right for me or not. Which is why on today's episode we are diving into the red flags of investing.

I think too often we can allow the experience of an investment that didn't go the way we expected hold us back from investing in containers that really have the power to change our lives.

It is 100% within our power to choose how we move forward from an investment that didn't go how we thought. We can be upset and angry at ourselves or the coach and completely discount the whole experience feeling resentful to the investment. OR we can zoom out and look for the lessons or the other takeaways that we were able to receive from it. (Even if it's not what we signed up for.) 

There is only one of those options that will continue to expand you and your business. I know which one I will choose every time, what about you?

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOU ARE SELLING, BUT THINGS AREN'T SELLING 

Would you believe me if I told you that I once told my mom "I feel like I can't even PAY someone to buy my offer." Because I did....no jokes. 

I was year three into my business (while also working full time in corporate) and DESPERATELY wanted to be in my business full time.

THE KEY TO STANDING OUT IN A SATURATED MARKET 

In true Jess fashion I am going to give it to you straight: just because you have a business doesn't mean that you have a brand. 

I think too often we confuse growing our business as one and the same as growing our brand, but they are entirely two different aspects. 

It's often when we focus on growing our business that we can find ourselves:

And alllll of that just leads to us living in constant fear of the market "being too saturated" which is absolutely false... 

When you place your focus on building a BRAND that is!

Think of it this way...

When you go into a gas station you don't see a no name brands when you go to the cooler section. You see: Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Gatorade, Power-aid, Dr. Pepper. (just to name a few) 

It's the same reason why as consumers the majority of us will trust buying brands that we know, like and trust. 

Remember NO ONE wants a knock off of someone else. The secret to creating a brand that attracts not just clients but did we just become best friends (cue Stepbrothers scene) soul mate clients is by building a brand. 

Not a business. 

A brand that can't be copied.

And the sole reason it can't be copied is because no one can be you, like YOU!

WHAT I WISH I KNEW WHEN FINDING MY NICHE

HOW TO NAIL YOUR NICHE

MY BEST TIP ON HOW TO SELL MORE THROUGH YOUR CONTENT 

One of the MAIN reasons why people don't buy our offers is not because we don't know what we are doing, or that there are other's out there doing it "better" than us but it's likely that they don't understand the value of what it that that we are offering. 

The value is what clearly communicates to your dream clients that they need this NOW...and when I mean NOW I mean right now, like yesterday now. 

Here’s the catch…the value isn’t found in what someone gets when they work with you it’s found in the TRANSFORMATION they get because of working with you! 

Think of it this way: 

You wouldn’t go to a bakery to buy the ingredients to buy a cookie. 

You go to the bakery to buy the softest, melt in your mouth just the perfect amount of chocolate chip, chocolate chip cookies. 

Your ideal client doesn’t want to buy the ingredients, they want to buy the finished product!
