Javelin thrower Kim Mickle who tells of her disappointing games when her shoulder dislocated during competition. She is now rehabbing following more surgery and in the meanwhile has taken up football which is challenging her in very different ways from fitness to technique. The WiSP IronWomen podcast is back: Sara Gross and co-host Karen Thibodeau launch the new series with a short game of “What do you know?” in which we find out that, while she loves swimming, biking and running, Karen has some homework to do when it comes to Triathlon’s legends. 


Sara talks to athlete, coach and author Siri Lindley who just released her first book with writer Julia Polloreno. Hear all about how Siri and Julia worked together to create the masterpiece and get behind-the-scenes insights into some of the book’s crazy stories. In 2000-2002 Siri dominated the ITU World Cup series winning race after race including the World Championships in 2001. Siri then retired while at the top and pursued her passion to help others reach their potential in triathlon and now coaches a great group of athletes who are part of Team Sirius. A well-spring of positive energy, Siri knows how to get the best out of people. Her incredible coaching career includes Olympic medalists, Multiple Ironman World Champions including her legendary partnership with Mirinda (Rinny) Carfrae. Siri and her partner Rebekah (Bek) Keat are also the first openly gay couple in the triathlon limelight, a happy ending to the a long struggle described on the pages of Surfacing: From the Depths of Self-Doubt to Winning Big and Living Fearlessly.

Catriona Morrison, MBE, is a multiple Duathlon World Champion and multiple Ironman and Ironman 70.3 triathlon Champion. Since retiring from professional sport in January 2015, Catriona has spent most of her time developing Everactiv - a kid’s activewear company.  She tells us what she learned during her years as a pro athlete, how she felt receiving her MBE from Prince Charles and her vision for Everactiv.
