September 20, 2018The Horse Show: S3E22 - WEG Day 9 - Misdee Wrigley-Miller, Holly SmithOn Day 9 of competition at the FEI World Equestrian Games, Chris talks to Misdee Wrigley Miller, the first woman to compete in the carriage driving at a world championships. This is Misdee’s second World Equestrian Games; she made her debut on the team in Normandy in 2014 where the team finished in 4th place. Misdee has been preparing for these games in Europe and in Kentucky which she believes will help her team of horses cope with the heat and humidity here in Tryon. She tells Chris what she is expecting of her horses and shares her thoughts on the facility and marathon course. Great Britain’s Holly Smith is making her championship debut and today she had two rails down in the first round of the team competition. September 19, 2018WEG Day 8 - Erynn Ballard, Adrienne Sternlicht, Amanda DerbyshireThe show jumping competition of the World Equestrian Games got underway in Tryon, NC and Chris Stafford talked to three team rookies who are making their championship debut and who were previous guests on The Horse Show. Canada's Erynn Ballard rode Darkos Promise into 33rd place of the 124 starters today in the speed competition which was one round against the clock. September 17, 2018WEG Day 4 - Ros Canter, World Eventing ChampionGreat Britain dominated the eventing competition here at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, NC winning both team and individual gold medals. Canadian eventer Jessica Payne joins Chris Stafford to round up the competition and take a look at the standout performances of these games. It was an important qualifier for the Tokyo Olympic Games and it leaves Team USA and Canada after their result here still to qualify at the 2019 Pan American Games. Britain's Ros Canter clinched the gold when overnight leader Germany's Ingrid Klimke had the last fence down in the stadium today.
