A women's Super Rugby competition will kick off next year.

Super Rugby Aupiki will launch in March, comprising four squads of 28 contracted - or paid - players.

Head coaches have been named for the Blues, Chiefs, Hurricanes and a South Island team, which encompasses the Crusaders and Highlanders regions.
