Jedi Master Kit Fisto tracks the beacon from the stolen Republic ship to the Vassek system. There he meets his old padawan, Nadhar. The pair and the clones enter the building with the beacon. Too late they realize it's a trap. Count Dooku speaks with them via holo. They get a different prize. Upon closer inspection of the building they learn that this is actually General Grievous's home, his lair. It's full of statues of him when he was a human warrior, it also contains trophies from all his Jedi kills. He arrives and they battle several times and also play cat and mouse. Do the Jedi and their accompanying clones arrest Grievous or fall at his droid feet?

Captured Viceroy Gunray is being transported to Coruscant to be charged and tried for war crimes. Jedi Master Luminara Unduli and padawan Ashoka Tano are the Jedi in charge of protecting him on this journey. Their ship is attacked by super battle droids. Ventress is assigned to either rescue or silence the Viceroy. It's an edgy Ventress vs Unduli and Tano battle. But the linchpin is that Dooku turned one of the Senate Guards. Is the Viceroy rescued or killed? Does Ventress finally succeed in completing a mission? Do Unduli and Tano work together to defeat their mutual enemy?

Padme goes to Rodia with Jar Jar Bins and C3PO to keep them in the Republic. However, she arrives too late. She's taken prisoner.

Anakin is still searching for R2 when they learn of a listening station. R2 manages to reach Anakin and this also gives them the location of the listening station. Ashoka bravely takes on Grievous herself. R3, Goldie, Stubby is outed as a spy for Grievous. 

Anakin has a plan to catch Grevious. It almost works. He does take out the entire fleet with him, but the General escapes in an escape pod. Anakin wakes up in a med bay and asks about R2. He is informed that R2 is gone. This upsets him. When he asks Obi-Wan to go find him Obi-Wan gets cranky and tells him Jedi are not allowed to form attachments. When he tells Obi-Wan that R2's memory was not erased he is finally allowed to go look for him.
