Summaries of the Star Wars original Marvel comic book issues 7 and 8.

A station is protecting Kamino, but it's staffed with newbies or shinies who had to leave training early due to the needs of the war. General Grevious is planning to destroy the clone home planet of Kamino. These newbies are the only defense.

Obi-Wan and his fleet continue to fire on the retreating ship. However, Padme arrives on scene and winds up getting pulled into it via tractor beam. Anakin immediately heads off to save her with Obi-Wan. 

Anakin has had enough of General Grievous. He gets a team and they go after him. Grievous plans to destroy the medical station. Anakin gets their first.

Master Plo Koon is sent to find out what the Separatist's new weapon his. He does but his fleet is destroyed in the process. Anakin and Ahsoka save him. The new weapon in an ion cannon.

Yoda goes to a neutral planet to meet with the King of Toydaria to negotiate a Republic base in their system. Ventress, however, beats him to the meeting. He still manages to land on the planet. He is challenged to beat her best droids. But this is Yoda. He's a Jedi Master. Watching him is a work of art in motion. He turns the tables on Ventress with ease and earns the respect of the King in the process.

Ryloth is under siege. The whole planet has become a battleground. Jedi Master and General Ima-Gun Di is there with a group of clone troops to deal with the Separatist Army.  They are on the losing end for the time being as the troops and supplies are running short. Senator Bail Organa is asked to go to Toydaria and work out a treaty with the King to resupply Ryloth from there planet. The King is willing to help until Senator Dod arrives and levies a threat. In the end, the King helps.

The Domino Squad is failing miserably at working together to pass the Citadel challenge. Shak Ti isn't sure how she wants to proceed with them and both El-Les and Bric (bounty hunters also hired to train the clone army) can't see eye to eye either. Both take very different approaches. It's the maintenance clone 99 who gets through to one of the clones though. Thanks to his advise they ultimately learn to work together.

The battle continues on Christophosis. Anakin and Obi-Wan are out gunned. One ship arrives to help them but it carries a surprise. It's Ashoka Tano, a new padawan learner assigned to Anakin Skywalker. She is also reckless like Anakin and wanting to prove herself. The two head off to sneak across enemy lines where she saves him not one but twice. After they exit that planet they have to save Jabba the Hutt's baby. That adventure leads us to Padme helping with her senatorial skills. We also meet Ziro the Hutt who had a secret alliance with Dooku. Does Anakin and Ashoka save the baby? Is a treaty with Jabba procured?
