Today is a day of Celebration! If you are alive that is worth Celebrating! Find your reason and Celebrate it today. It is meant for us and when we embrace our reason, it gives energy, a boost, and the something we need for this day. We thank God for Celebrations.

A glad heart makes for a cheerful countenance (Proverbs 15:13). There are those times when a smile, just misses us. When heaviness crowds out gladness, Proverbs 17 urges us to find a reason to still be glad and smile. It doesn’t deny life’s struggles, but it does remind us that joy is a choice, made in spite of circumstances. This prayer is lighthearted and joy focused to help us draw cheerfulness within, because somehow it does really change and uplift our spirit.

Our hands do more than complete tasks — they care, build, create, help, serve, and put something good into the world. GOOD WORK is a prayer for everyone whose hands have been busy doing what matters, especially when that effort goes unnoticed. Today, we recognize the value of what we do and remember: God is not finished with the work of our hands.

A prayer for the everyday person — not just preachers, or leaders - who simply are trying to make it through the day. It acknowledges real burdens, (caregiving, financial strain, illness, weariness) and leans on the promise that strength is renewed for those who wait on the Lord.

This prayer is guided by Hebrews 12:1-2 which says, “Let us throw off, everything that hinders, and the sin that so easily entangles. Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus”. Today we seek to operate with the level of focus, that helps us look past the distractions that exist to keep our attention on the wrong things. In this season there are some many distractions, but we have the power to keep our eyes and focus on the right things. Hebrews tells us to “throw off everything that hinders”. God help us, to walk in that brand of focus, we pray.

A prayer of gratitude and grace for every soul that’s still standing after a long week. This prayer reminds us that even when life felt heavy, God was quietly holding things together. It is a gentle exhale — a moment to pause, give thanks, and recognize that making it here is proof of God’s covering and love.

This prayer challenges us to align our words with our faith. Faith according to scripture is the “substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things still yet unseen” (Hebrews 11:1). Yet, we still believe for the best, even when the best we desire, has not yet arrived. We still believe it’s coming to us real soon. So, the call is to speak and understand, that what we say in our daily lives has an effect upon, what we actually see. Therefore, we speak life, we speak faith, and believe that what we have asked God, for in prayer, will come to be.

THE STORY BEHIND THE PODCAST:
The vision for “Words For The Soul, Food For The Heart” was born during the Covid-19 pandemic — during a season when the world slowed down, church doors closed, and many people found themselves searching for hope, comfort, strength, and connection. As a pastor, I was determined to stay connected to the congregation and community I served. Week after week, I searched for creative ways to encourage people during uncertain and emotionally heavy times.
What began with simple cellphone video messages and Facebook Live moments eventually grew into something much larger — a calling to speak life, hope, healing, encouragement, and strength not only to a local congregation, but to listeners everywhere.
Today, this podcast reaches people across cities, states, and countries with one consistent mission:
To help people feed their soul before they face their day.
Thank you for allowing this podcast to be part of your life journey. My prayer is that every episode leaves you stronger, wiser, more hopeful, and reminded that God is still present in your story.
with Love,
Jackie W.
